Three families rented out this fantastic villa in August 2017, and it exceeded all of our expectations!! The accommodations were top notch in every way, and the views priceless. HIghlights include: exploring Poppi castle and the surrounding area, tour of local vineyard (Ornina) and fromagerie, day trips to Sienna, Florence, and Montepulciano, pasta making classes at the villa given by a local, BBQ dinners under the terrace, lounging by and swimming in the pool while enjoying a breathtaking view, particularly at sunset. The hosts were lovely and very responsive, and helped us with anything we needed. I would give it 6 stars if I could!!!!!!

We stayed at this Villa recently for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every moment at this beautiful property. It was very clean, centrally located and Alessio and his mom were extremely hospitable and helpful. At one point even helping us make brick oven pizza in the Taverna! Stay here without a thought its perfect!

Alessio and his parents are very wonderful and accommodating host. My group was attending a wedding at a near by Villa and were extremely lucky to have come across this wonderful home through Air BnB. Alessio made sure to keep in touch with us and was able to work with our consistently changing plans. He even offered to pick us up from the train station if it was needed.
The house is spacious and the surrounding area is beautiful. I had the opportunity of traveling here in early November, and the fall scenery is unmatched. Upon arriving we were offered a few small gifts and a warm welcome from the family. There are two bedrooms with their own bathrooms that are on opposite sides of the kitchen and living room area. The living room area has a pullout coach and one of the rooms has a smaller bed for a child.
Alessio made sure to understand when and what our plans were, so that he could make breakfast for us at whatever time we needed. The breakfast is not free, but is well worth the small amount of euro’s that it cost; meats, cheese, juice, tea, croissants, pastries, and coffee. You also will be eating in a large dining area in another section of the house away from your room, so there is no mess and/or privacy issue.
If you are worried about safety or having your bags stolen then this is the place for you. The house is gated and he will provide you with your own personal clicker.
Other than that my group and I had an amazing time in this rural area of Italy, it was very peaceful. Make sure to check out the castle nearby, it glows green at night and was easily seen from any area of the house. We actually accidentally locked ourselves out pretty late at night enjoying the view and Alessio didn't give us any attitude for having to wake him up for a spare key. We are very grateful for such amazing hosts and I recommend staying here if you are visiting Poppi. This is the perfect place for two couples or anyone else for that matter.
Thank you once again for the amazing holiday Alessio.

Poppi is a Tuscan town with a castle dating back to at least the 1100s. Unlike Florence it is not mobbed with tourists. And unlike the town, Dolce Vista is a new place to stay, yet in a beautiful old building. The ''apartments'' are large, modern, tastefully decorated and appointed and reminiscent of a four star hotel. The real flavor to the property though Alessio and his ''mama'', two delightful, warm humans. They greeted us with a pitcher of wine and sandwiches Alessio had made for us. We were sorry we had made reservations to move on as we would like to have spent more time in this beautiful agriturismos with a truly sweet view of the castle. On our departure, Alessio presented us with a bag of their delicious, firm, home-grown apples. We recommend it highly and suggest a several-day stay.

Room tip: All are good.
