De Langenhof is such a stylish home, wine farmhouse, retreat and breakaway, right in the heart of wine farm country, that you will think you are in the South of France. The Northern slopes of the Riebeek Kasteel mountain ensures a charming garden of rich diversity. Elegant outdoor breakfasts, lazy afternoons by the pool surrounded by aromatic herbs and fish ponds. Gail and Mike will really take good care of you with their personal and relaxed style of hospitality. I was there for a family wedding at nearby legendary wine estate Allesverloren. Further cheese farms, olive farms, fruit produce and crafts are other great local attractions.

Room Tip: All of the rooms I saw were charming. You may prefer a room opening onto the garden.

Having given very little notice of our need of a room for the night we were given a very warm welcome by Gail on our arrival . The bedroom was very clean and comfortable but we never did learn how to work the TV, but then it might be an age thing!
Mike prepared our delicious breakfast which was served on the veranda, allowing us to see all the wonderful birds in the garden feeding.
We received a lot of information on the area and best places to eat, nothing was to much trouble
for Gail. Hope to stay again when next in South Africa.

Not everyone meets you at the door with a cold glass of water, exactly what I needed.

tranquil atmosphere having breakfast on the veranda with view over fragrant garden.
the sliced fruit with the breakfast had so many varieties, complimenting each other perfectly.
the main breakfast, very well prepared and tasty.

room spacious and stylish, enjoyed the option to select a DVD's.

As a frequent business traveller living out of a suitcase regularly it is so lovely to stay at a place, so beautiful and elegant as De Langenhof, where you still feel comfortable to kick off your shoes and walk around barefoot. Gail and Mike do everything in their power to make you feel at home, and the only thing better than Mike's breakfast is the view from the wraparound stoep where you sit and eat. Already looking forward to my next stay.

The rooms are tastefully decorated and Very comfortable Loved the garden and especially the pool with its gazebo to provide much needed shade. The hosts were friendly and very helpful in terms of all the great places to eat in the area. Would love to go back.
