This is a good family attraction as there is some physical activity and great views. There is a short walk to viewing platforms and then further walking down several hundred steps to the bottom of the falls. DOC have signposted the area well with information and time frames along the route. The bush area is very pleasant to walk through and there is a toilet at the beginning of the track.

Well worth a visit to soak in the roar of the water falling 55m. Viewpoints at the top, halfway down and the bottom give you a chance to appreciate it from every angle. It was also totally deserted when I was there!

Make sure you wear a pair of walking shoes. The walk to the top of the falls was amazing (and not too hard) and you can see the most wonderful array of native flora. The waterfall itself is breath-taking, especially when you look straight down from the top look out platform. I thought the mouth of the stream at the top looked rather small and then I looked down and realised its water spread out like while flowers in a huge cascade. There are a total of four view points to see this 55 meter fall from different perspectives. When you walk right down to the bottom by the well-constructed steps (rather a lot of them), the view is magnificent! The water takes some four seconds to come down and it indeed looks like a bridal veil! The walk up was tiring, but it was worth it! My husband is 61 and he managed it very well. There are two long drop toilets without any hand basins, so don’t forget to take hand sanitizer with you. This is a very unique NZ experience and something I will never forget.

Pretty impressive and tracks and steps have recently had a lot of work done. There's viewing areas near the top but it's well worth the effort of going down (and back up) the hundreds of steps to get to the bottom.

Our first visit to Raglan and we saw the sign for the Bridal Veil Falls and we thought let's have a look. and I'm so pleased we did. It was a busy little stop, with good parking. Put on your walking shoes, although we only had jandals on, as did many we passed. My muscles are sore now. :-)
The walk is bush like to the first view point and it is so worth it. Then you descend down to the bottom still under bush so not to hot on a summers day and you go down hundreds of stairs. More than 200. There is a mid viewing platform and our photos here turned out great. Then at the bottom the view was spectacular and worth the effort. Have a seat and rest..... It is not a large area at the bottom but well maintained. The walk back up is a bit hard but the stairs are wide enough to have a little rest and people can pass by if needed. You will be glad you took this walk it was stunning.
