“Perfect summer!”

We stayed in the twin cabin but quickly discovered that the mountain view ensuite is the way to go especially for couples. A very relaxed vibe to the place with lovely corners and spaces in the main house for private moments of afternoon lazy readings and lovely common areas - warm kitchen and cool sun deck, nice!

Hats off to Christopher for a job well done! Thank you for making our stay so welcoming and comfortable. The house has a very old charming quality and Chris has tried his best to keep it authentic. The views of course, are simply stunning with wonderful romantic sunsets off the deck. The breakfasts are homely and the sour dough bread, baked on the premises by his chef, would be hard to beat.
Location is excellent, 45 mins to Hamilton and of course only a short walk into the little surfers village of Raglan. Picturesque, gorgeous walks and lovely beaches.
We wish you all the very best in your forthcoming ventures of organic garden layouts etc. a work in progress.

We stayed just one night at the Farmstay in the master bedroom. We really loved the style of the house with it's lovely wooden coffee table and deck. The bedroom was great with bedside lamps and tables and a very comfortable bed. Chris and co. were laid bakc and helpful hosts. A great time!

I invited family (9 adults and 2 children) to Raglan Farmstay to celebrate my 40th and Chris was amazing at slotting everyone into rooms and cabins. The showers and bathrooms were all great, the kitchen was nice and big enough to cater for all of us. The main house is lovely, open, which worked well for our group to spread out and enjoy the different sitting and coffee areas as well as the dining table area. The deck is the stand out feature, that lets real sprawling take place and though the weather was awful for us, we still made use of the lovely spa and the exquisite views. The size of the property meant the kids could explore and it was all perfectly tranquil and quiet. The beds were all fantastic, the linen was lovely and everything was super clean.Unfortunately we bought the fish and chip shop out of all its supplies, but recommend F&C on the deck as the sun goes down. I slept in the barn room which Chris kindly gave up for me and it and its ensuite meant I found it very hard to leave the room and be sociable! (see photo) There were some very minor little things that needed attending to (curtains on some windows etc) but all minor and 'in progress' for completion. Will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Do not scrimp on the length of time you spend here - squeeze in AS MANY nights as you can!

We stayed seven nights in Raglan Farmstay and we really liked the accommodation. The first four nights we spend in the small cabin in the barn, which is definitely the best room at the Farmstay. It is a very private room, you have an en suite bathroom. Next to the bed there was a very big window overlooking the whole valley. Quite an impressive view especially at night.

Three of our seven nights we spend in the main house, which was nice too. The interior is very tastefully designed. The old farm has gotten some nice modern touches without loosing its „farmy“ feeling.

The beds have good mattresses and the Farmstay is overall very quiet, clean and has a fast free WiFi. We also liked the continental breakfast, which was way above standard and also including many organic items.

Most exceptional was the atmosphere - the main house common areas, like the kitchen and the sun deck, are a good place to meet people. Chris, the manager and owner, and his staff Mark and Louis made us feel welcome and at home. They helped us with every question we had and gave us very good tips what to do in and around Raglan.

This was simply the best place to stay. Spotless; relaxed and friendly; fabulous setting; gorgeous, quirky decor; helpful staff; delicious breakfasts around the kitchen table; hot hot tub; quiet, comfortable rooms and cabins.. Raglan itself is a little gem of a town. This was my first time in NZ, and the first place I stayed. I thought I'd come to paradise. Nothing bettered it during the rest of my holiday. Thank you soooo much!

This b&b has a terrific deck overlooking the water, friendly and interesting folks coming through and comfortable beds. However, the farmhouse could be kept a bit tidier, as mosquitos and large bugs could be found in all corners. Simply adding window screens would be a big help. Doors could also be oiled (some are quite creeky) and the hottub could be made a bit hotter, but on the whole it's a good place to stay. 11am checkout is also not so great.

Sorry about the bugs but with a view like the one we have here I don' think Ill be putting on window screens, and Im also not so into spraying crazy chemicals all around my house either, we use a combination of natural products and candles, sorry again that we did not give you the perfect stay which is my aim for every guest. 11am is the latest I can have check out so I have time to change and clean the rooms before new guests start arriving at 2pm, however guests are always more than welcome to leave there bags in the office during the day while they explore raglan.
