The two of us have just returned from a week's stay at the harmony suites and i must say we left with mixed feelings. We booked via expedia and stayed in one of the water front suites.
Firstly, the location is fantastic if you don't want to do one of those all inclusive Caribbean type off holidays. Loads of places to eat and drink near by, the location on the inner harbor is just ideal and with the beach just a short walk away.
However, our room certainly had seen better days with an over all tired look, part of the ceiling had fallen down and not been re-plastered, the shower (although huge) ran hot and cold depending on what other rooms were doing and the main tap for the sink stuck full on about 3 days into our stay.
Now, although asking for it to be fixed, it never was during our stay, leaving us to turn it on and off via the shut off valves in the wall :(
But saying all that, i left with fond memories of the place, 90% of which was due to the fantastic water front location. If your not going to upgrade your room to one of the water front suites then i would really recommend going somewhere else (the Coco Palm/Coco Kreole looked nice when we walked through them), but if you do, and are prepared to put up with its little charms, then go for it as you won't regret it
Just a quick mention about food - Don't go to the steak house next to the shopping center, its big $$$ (the most expensive that we eat at) to be served by disinterested people while sat on plastic garden chairs!..
Over all we were eating out for about 300-400 EC per night for the two of us. Italian was fantastic, edge was nice although you get the feeling that more effort was put into the presentation rather than the food itself, but our favorite by far (and the only place we went back to) was buzz, 1st class service and fantastic food…
