The John Knight Memorial Park is on the eastern foreshore of Lake Ginninderra. There's a wonderful playground for children, picnic/barbecue facilities and public toilets.

Not far from home, we regularly take walks around Lake Ginninderra, the shortwer 6km and the full 7km. Always well kept, the BBQ areas are always clean and it is nice to see so many people walking, and of course the bicycle track is very popular for runners and joggers alike.

Terrific park and ammenities on the shoreline of Lake Ginninderra. Birdlife abounds and is tame enough for children to feed.

I have visited many city and suburban parks around the world. This one afforded one of the most pleasant morning strolls (in late Australian spring weather). Built around an artificial lake named for the Aboriginal people in this land. Such an asset for the folks in Belconnen (like two of my sisters who both live here) which was built in the mid60s when Australia's capital city was the fastest growing metro area Down Under. Lots of water birds to watch. At one end is a nice row of cafes and shops. Benches and playground for kids and elderly.

As per the fortnight a nice place to escape the hustle and bustle of work and crowds. Can also take a paddle board, canoe and kayak here as it is easy to launch and paddle away.
