“delicious fish”
Reviewed December 6, 2013

We stopped at this place after pulling off the road to get a picture of the sunset. The restaurant has great views, and really kindly older waiters. We had the sea bass filet casados, and they were SO good. Stopping here on your way through is a great idea!

“Underwhelmed.”
Reviewed December 5, 2013 via mobile

This place was near our hotel and with its great reviews and our desire to experience the local culture we sought this place out. The map and gps both have this address wrong. It will be on thecocean side of the road and is located pretty much on the beach before the point on the map.

We were greeted by two dogs which for us was no problem because we love dogs but just be warned, if you're not a dog person like us, you may be loved on by some dogs.

I ordered the lobster plate of the day and my girlfriend ordered the seafood plate of the day along with the ceviche and 2 beers.

The ceviche mixto was pretty good. Shrimp, fish, octopus and some kind of mollusk I've never seen before. It was a lot of fish but the shrimp was a bit soggy. Maybe not that fresh.

Our entres were disappointing. My lobster was served cut in half. There were 2 and they we're both just mush and the tails were slightly rubbery. The plate came with plain french fries and some weird pickled veggies.

My girl friend's plate came with about a pound of chewy clam strips, shrimp and grilled sea bass (corvino) and had literally no flavor.

Lastly the beer was warm and neither of us finished it.

All that said, harsh criticism aside, the hospitality was top notch. The server was very attentive and polite and we got to experience some local cuisine and support the local economy. It wasn't a bad experience we just didn't have the same experience as the others who have reviewed this place.

“Tasty”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

Very Tasty well priced Tico operated seafool restaurant right beside the highway. Had the mixed seafood platter and washed it down with a very cold beer. I would definately eat here again.
