Stayed in IORA for 3D/2N during the first week of April. It is undoubtedly the best place to stay in Kaziranag. The Jungle plan takes care of all the arrangement for the Safari - elephant / Jeep. Try to do all the Jeep Safari - western, Central & Eastern Ranges in order to see the depth of wildlife. Rhino sighting is very very frequent and so is herds of elephants, wild buffalo, wild fowls & lots of deer.

Tiger sighting is rare as the elephant grass is very very dense -- heard from our guide that the elephant grass is burnt by the forest rangers in Feb each year - tiger sighting are better then. We did see fresh pugs marks !

IORA service is splendid and so is the Food -- try the Assamese Thali (know as platter) it is definitely worth the price. Manager - Pervez knows to take care of his guests ! A great outing for the family.

The rooms are spacious, toilets and doormats clean, the waiters are courteous and the food is excellent. Its a different kinda one I have ever seen in entire north-east.

The room tariff has no hidden charges which other luxury resorts in Kaziranga charge. Also the resort was 100% occupied during my entire 2 days stay there.

Few hiccups were: swimming pool water was not clean, few plug points in the room were not working, the hotel boasts of a Wi-Fi which is very slow and makes one mad if he/she gives a try to use it.

Overall a good place to stay and worth the penny you pay.

A large resort with pleasantly well appointed rooms and bathrooms. Very green. Helpful staff. Good quality food. Top of the line resort in the area. Guide organised for us for the safari by the resort was very good. Keep enough days in hand so that you can take adequate safaris to cover the eastern, western and the central part of the national park. Two safaris a day can be done comfortably. Book well in advance.

If you are looking for modern comforts when visiting the Kaziranga National Park, Iora is the place you should choose to stay. The property has all the comforts you can ask for, with high quality furnishings, satellite TV, a fully functional restaurant and more. The problem is the property could be anywhere in the world; it has little to show that it is at the world heritage site of Kaziranga National Park.

Go there if you want plush accommodation between your jungle safaris.

* Service: Good service. Housekeeping does their job well, you are well served at the restaurant and the guest relations staff is very courteous and helpful.
* Rooms: Different categories of rooms with clean, good quality furniture, sheets and towels. Air-conditioning in all rooms for the summer months. Bathrooms have running hot and cold showers. You have satellite television offering a wide variety of channels. Rooms have nice sit-outs for morning and evening tea, or even to soak in the sun. You have rooms of different categories going up to suites.
* Location: Very good location, near the entrance to two of the main zones of the park.
* Amenities: You have Wi-Fi internet but it is erratic and works best in the lobby area. There is a swimming pool too.
* Liked Best: The comforts.
* Liked Least: The architects could have made an effort to make the property to blend with the forests around.
* Food Quality: Quite nice food. With a vast selection of cuisines including local

We have just returned from IORA after holding our wedding reception there. All of our 30 of our global guests commented on how fantastic the hotel was. The rooms are spotless, service was faultless throughout and the whole trip ran smoothly and without stress for us - the wedding couple! We highly recommend the hotel for both individual and group travel to Kaziranga!

We were there at the property during Christmas time and the stay was okay. The rooms were well furnished and the food at the restaurant was passable, nothing much to write about. However, the problems that i faced during check-out are still rankling me and even after one month, the issues are still outstanding.
I made my payments through card and signed the bills etc and checked out. However, when i chkd my account statement, to my horror, i found that i had been debited twice by the Hotel. I called them up immediately. The initial response was that we will look into it but later after a few days the guys at the reception started passing the buck. I wrote emails etc but no response. My bank was howver receptive and promised to check with the hotel.
The callous response from the hotel shocked me. However, i got the number of a senior guy from the Hotel and he was quite receptive to me. he promised to get it resolved.
One month down, the money is still to be credited to my account though now i expect the gentleman from the hotel to resolve the issue.
The other issue was they billed me for a meal which we just did not have. They put some other room's food bill against my room and charged me for that. Because of oversight, i did not check closely during check-out.
So guys, be very very careful. The intentions may not be bad, but then the carelessness on their part can certainly spoil yr mood and affect yr pocket.
Still waiting for both the issues to be resolved.
