The Chitralakha Udyan generally known as "Cole Park" is one of the most valued and scenic paradise place of Assam . If you come to tezpur you should visit this paradised park . This park was designed by a Britisher ,Mr. Cole , Comissioner . This park has many ancient pieces of rocks which is likely a part of a palace
,there is one fighter plane named "mig-21" . You can enjoy paddle boats ,bumper cars , watching the scenic beauty ..... .... As far myself i feel totally relaxed after going there ...

In the middle of Tezpur, is this big park with historic monuments, water bodies, lots of greenery. In the already space-crunched town this park provides lots of open space and fresh air for a family to have quality time together.

This is probably the best attraction of the city. It's a beautiful park with swimming pool and boating. There is a ball house for kids too. The best time to visit is in the evening. It's a must visit if you are anywhere near this city.

The Chitralekha Udyan, at Tezpur of Sonitpur District in Assam(India), was previously known as the Cole Park. The Cole Park was established by Mr. Cole, a Commissioner of Assam under British rule. It was later renovated by Mr. M.G.V.K. Bhanu, the deputy Commissioner of Tezpur, in 1996. Cole Park is definitely one of the most picturesque spot in Tezpur, the cultural city of Assam. Set amidst innumerous hillocks, terrains and lakes, the park is the center of a number of recreational activities and fun sports.

Recently renamed as Chitralekha Udyan, Cole Park has a horse-shoe shaped Lake as well, where rowing, paddle boats and such other water sports can be enjoyed. Besides this, there are also a restaurant and an open air stage within its premises. Two massive ornamented stone pillars and sculptural remains of the famous Bamuni hills of 9th and 10th century are the major architectural attractions of the park. The entire park, with its horseshoe-shaped lake and walkways, is undeniably one of the most beautiful places in the whole of Tezpur and presents an even more heavenly sight in the evening, when the park is illuminated with numerous colourful lights. This certainly is a spot any tourist wouldn't wish to leave Tezpur without visiting.
