One of the most important site of Cyprus isn't kept to the expected standards (next to a dumping point...). If you are heading east from Paphos, don't miss it, nonetheless

The Forestry workers have created a botanic garden here that shows so many of the wild flowers and shrubs of Cyprus. There is even a hide to watch the birdlife. Much improved from previous years. Worth a visit.

In many regards I found this a very sad archaeological site.
There are several large areas of mosaics and yet they are not covered in any way to preserve them from the elements.
The information boards which are dotted around are rather sparse and don't really tell you much that adds value to your visit.
We bought a well priced guide book at 7.50 Euros but it didn't relate that well to the site itself and was difficult to follow.
The small museum was interesting enough. Overall I just felt that the whole place could have been better thought out and needs to be better preserved for future generations.
