We've done many bike tours, but this has to be the worst by far in terms of cost, quality and above all safety. Depending on which hotel you stay at - you have a ride of between 1.5 and 2.5 hours to reach your breakfast. The return journey from the Restaurant is also around the same time. So - count on at least 4 hours stuck up in a minivan.

Breakfast is meagre. So, don't hold out until you are there for a decent breakfast. Make sure you fill up beforehand.

It claims a Fully Trained & Professional Cycling Guide. Maybe we were unlucky, but our guide did not know anything, was not informative, not engaged and just happy to get down the hill and finish.

International standard safety equipment. This tour is a downhill tour. You hardly have to cycle. What you do need are good brakes. We had to swap my wife's bike as the brakes were definitely sub standard. Our younger daughter - under 12 - her brakes were not of good standard and a concern through the entire tour. We also had to ask that the tires be pumped up as they lacked air.

The ride is about two hours and 25km. You get 1 complimentary bottle of water. Unfortunately there was not one for my younger daughter. The most amusing thing was that the guide had one, but did not offer to my daughter.

A lot of the riding is on main roads. yes, you do go off road - but most is on main roads. These can be narrow and with many speeding cars and especially bikes. The guide overtook a van, which was moving slowly, when the road ahead was not clear with oncoming traffic. We had to wait until it was clear - guide had merrily gone off in the distance.

There was no fresh coconut - which they advertised. And the visit to the traditional Balinese house. Well you walk around the outside - see some pigs. And some of the locals. No real insight into a true Balinese House. Extremely disappointing.

An unfortunate 'True Bali Experience' of poor safety, poor arrangements, poor service and a True Rip Off of both time and money.

Would never recommend this tour to anyone.

We got picked up early our driver was nice bit too quiet. drink on arrival set menu lunch a free tasting at the choc factory photos and 135k for paid photo. Our rider was awesome very talkative and chatty we had the pleasure of riding jessica simpson and paid 50k to have close up photos and feed her. I know cruel but great experience. Food was tasty. We enjoyed our awesome chatty mahout Kia ora bro.

We didn’t see another tourist! What we did see where elephants, monkeys, traditional homes, villages and temples. It was an outstanding way to see rural Bali, up close and personal. We cycled right through the heart of the paddy fields, seeing the local villagers harvest the rice, and enjoyed a great meal at the end of the ride. Don’t have a big breakfast! The guide was really knowledgeable, and caring. The ride isn’t that strenuous, with most down hill....! Really fab day out!

We had a lovely experience riding the elephants and spent time with them, feeding, petting and asking lots of questions. It was clear they were well taken care of and this was important to us. There were many babies and one we saw was pregnant.
I’ve posted a pic of us on the elephant and my daughter is sporting the widest grin I’ve ever seen on her face and one of our friend who was riding an elephant also.
Well worth the trip!
