Finding hotels (decent) in the St. Louis area is hard to do. We received the call on a family member passing and I got to work finding a hotel in "South County".

Was able to book room on line (2 day notice) and actually change reservation 1 time.

Stayed in a 2 queen bed smoking room and was nice. No smell of smoke in the room or bedding, the must do a good cleaning job after a check out.

The morning breakfast was nice, food was warm too!

Only little complaint if I had was we asked for a late check out on departure date (actual day of funeral) and was given a extra hour. Not to bad, we do understand they have so much time to turn a room and get it ready.

We would would highly recommend a stay here and we will more then likely use this as our hotel any time we travel to St. Louis.

Our room was in the 1st floor or basement of this property.

The room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The beds and pillows were very nice.

We only had 2 minor issues. We had to swipe our key cards 3 to 4 times to get in the room and sometimes 2-3 times to get in the back door of the motel.

The other issue was the this floor had a smoking section just down the hall. We did not smell any cigarette smoke in our room but we did in the hall.

Another issue was that there is only an elevator to get down to the 1st floor from the bottom floor, but no stairs. However, once we discovered the back door in the middle of the floor, this was no longer an issue at all.

The price was competitive with comparable motels in the area, and because of the cleanliness, and comfort, I have to say it is a good value.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the smoking section or ask for a room on a smoke free floor

We were passing through and needed a place for the night. This hotel did the job. It is an older hotel but we liked it. The front desk staff Dewaine was very very nice and even gave my daughters coloring books when he saw them. That was a bonus. The rooms are nice and the breakfast was wonderful. We loved the blueberry belgium waffles. Great choice.

We were tired of cheap hotels and Best Western was still a good value but a huge jump for us in amenities. The hotel is freeway close and in a good area. The staff was extremely helpful and set us up in a nice room. The breakfast was the best we'd had in three weeks of traveling. The internet worked well, the air conditioning worked great and the room was clean.

The hotel is a little worn but nice and clean. It was not a complaint, but we mentioned that our sink drained slowly and the clerk made a note of it for maintance. The reviews on this hotel are good and the hotel management tries hard to be their best.

We stayed at this hotel a month ago, 2 adults and 2 children in a double room. Everything was pretty nice. Very friendly front desk staff, good breakfast, comfortable room. We stayed on the back side of the hotel, away from the main parking lot.

This time my husband and I reserved a single room with a king sized bed. I requested a room away from the stairs and the elevator. When we checked in, we were given a room right next to the stairs. The hall and room smelled strongly of something like laundry detergent covering up the smell of smoke. We called and were told that the staff at the hotel don't make the room assignments, but they would see if they could find a room away from the stairs, which they did ( one room over).

The odd thing about the second room was that the bed didn't look professionally made up like the first room's bed. The fitted sheet was 1/2 off the corner of the mattress. The coverlet had a burn hole in it. The room was also on the front side of the hotel where the main parking lot is, and it was noisy. We also had a lot of hall noise.

My husband used the fitness center, which only had one piece of useful equipment that was in good repair, which was the treadmill. It also had a working TV, which was nice.
