We had a lovely stay at La Chatouillette, it was first visit with my son and Father in Law. We planned a weeks fishing and peace and tranquillity. We were not let down! On arrival we tried the lake and were not disappointed with the action. Great fishing all week long!! Not only did we enjoy the fishing, the Gite was lovely, very comfortable with everything you would need. Even if you are not a fisherman, the Gite would make a lovely holiday stay with lovely countryside and villages to explore. Our hosts, Allan and Josie, were fantastic, they made us feel very welcome, I loved the history lessons and was taken on a short tour of some local historic sites and met the neighbours. We were very sad leave but very much look forward to returning. I can honestly say that there was not one negative thing to say about our stay. Thank you Allan and Josie, cant wait to see you again!!

Alan and Josie are fantastic host, had a great Holiday in a beautiful Gite, so much so we booked for next year before we had even left!!
Fishing was great, plenty of 18-22 lbs common Carp.

We are so lucky to have visited this Gite what a gem! we were greeted by Alan And Josie with a smile on our arrival and were made very welcome, the Gite is lovely and so relaxing we had the best sleep in years. the surroundings are beautiful and the lake full of fish I caught my biggest fish ever. Normandy is a wonderful place full of very nice people, it has a great feel to it comparable in many ways to the UK in the 1950's if your fortunate to remember the good old day's.

So In an nutshell you must visit here.

Stayed this year with Son in Law and Grandson and had a really good break. We left the Chief cook and bottle washer at home and fended for ourselves this time. The gite is so well equipped that it presented no problems for us lads to cater for ourselves - although we're still waiting for a certain person's egg sandwiches!! The joy of La Chatouillette is the privacy to enjoy the lake and the fishing and the warmth of the welcome from Josie and Allan who are wonderful hosts. All the local wild life is wonderful - we spotted lots of birds including Kingfishers and I was luck enough to see the elusive Salamander which was sitting by the steps for ages. Best fish of the week was 19 lb but loads caught all in the mid teens, and considering we had 6 rods in the water a good haul for each of us. The gite is better than ever with a few nice extra touches to add to that home from home feel and the gardens are looking superb - well done with the water garden Allan!! We are already planning our next trip to this magical place.

My husband and I spent a night here with our little baby and it was just an amazing place and unexpected treat to spend time here and with Allan and Josie the owners. I see one of the reviews saying it was the best place in France that they visited and I can strongly second that, the property itself is beautiful with a beautiful lake and walks around it. The self catering accomodation is wonderful and all you can ask for from a holiday gite.
Allan and Josie are unique in themselves and make your time spent there that extra bit special.
ideally located between to small villages where you can buy whatever you need. We will definitely be back.
