If you are looking for a beach less crowded and peaceful then this is the place to be. Great for a romantic holiday. Party animals stay away as there is nothing here for you.

With Palolem getting commercialised, many tourist are choosing this beach. Great beach, clear water..may have to be careful while swimming as there are many rocks in the ocean..

Agonda is a terrific beach with beautiful water and sand. If you happen to be in South Goa do make it a point to visit this one. There are not many options for accommodation options in Agonda except beach huts, so it might be difficult for us Indians to have a comfortable stay here. I would recommend that you stay in Palolem and either hire a scooter or rickshaw to visit this beach. The beach is so blissfully devoid of crowd and so clean. You can spend hours in this beach, sit down at a nearby shack (we went to the one named "Madhu" - awesome lemon ginger honey tea at just 40 rupees) and enjoy the beautiful sights.

Agonda beach is located in extreme south of Goa and far away from the city. It is one of the best and most beautiful beaches in Goa and I consider it to be the second most beautiful beach in south Goa after Palolem. The beach is long enough, at one end you find the boulders which make the beach a photogenic one and the other end stretches up to the next beach. You can find coconut trees, a number of shanties and shacks by the beach. A good place to relax and spend your leisure. The water is crystal clear and a deep in the water is superb, waves are strong, good to swim. There are water sports facilities but you can do that in north Goa where the beaches are happening and I suggest to relax here in Agonda.

We hired a vehicle on full day basis and traveled to Agonda after visiting a few more beautiful beaches in south Goa. If you are not lodging in Agonda, it is better to book a car. Public transport is not for tourists, time consuming, uncomfortable, you can't stop if you want, so it is better to hire a car. If you want to lodge here, there are a number of beach huts and hotels.

I suggest Agonda to all travelers who love serenity and tranquility. Just come and relax here.
