“Best place to stay in Epidavros”

Excellent quality, excellent rooms, as clean and tidy as it gets. Panagiota will serve you amazing homemade breakfast with only fresh local stuff. You can always ask her to prepare for you any meal during the day and enjoy it either near the pool area or the comfortable balcony of your room.

Room Tip: If possible, choose one of the rooms on the top of the hill, they offer great privacy and have the g...

Second visit after three years. Lovely to see the wonderful infinity pool finished - and to use it. The view is still amazing, the breakfast fresh and abundant and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. The owners have a keen aesthetic sense, and have landscaped and decorated Yialasi in a really sympathetic way. The most important thing is the generous hospitality of the hosts - they do everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

A lovely hotel with fantastic views over the bay. After a few days travelling from place to place it was great to stop here for a few days rest and be looked after by the owners - nothing was too much trouble! The rooms are lovely, very large, clean and nicely decorated with a private balcony. The pool is great and the food home cooked, delicious and very plentiful. Recommend a visit to poros, a drive to the volcano on the methana peninsular and see a production at the ancient theatre. Fabulous.

My husband and I travel a great deal, rough back country trips as well as the occasional bit of comfort and luxury, and we can say Hotel Yialasi compares favourably against any of the best hotels in the world. Breathtaking views over ocean and islands - a lovely clean infinity pool - a peaceful garden filled with flowers and orange trees - a generous and comfy seating area, indoors and out, tastefully decorated - big rooms with brilliant features such as a total light blocking shade and big balconies - and best of all, the wonderful hosts, who wait on every guest as if you were their best and most long lost friend. The food is astonishing too. The breakfasts will last you all day and much of it is made by the family (ie the honey and mulberry jam). Even the dog, Scooby Doo, gives you a warm welcome. Do stay there if you can - you won't regret it!

Stayed in hotel on visit to Theatre at Epidavros it proved a little difficult to find but worth it. Very friendly large and comfortable room, fantastic view from private balcony. Had an evening meal which was reasonable value and excellent. Breakfast on the terrace was superb and set us up for the day. The owner was helpful and friendly. It worth visiting Epidavros early(20 minutes away) before the crowds arrive. So good we are visiting again in August to explore the area more fully and have time to use the pool.

Yialasi did not come up first on search and we were very pleasantly surprised. High on a steep hill this villa style B & B offers views of great beauty across the bay. The rooms are very generous in size, always nice when you are living out of a suitcase, and the walk down through the olive grove to the main building starts to get you into the mood. The breakfast was copious and served to you on trays wherever you chose to sit in the garden. The pool is gorgeous and hit the spot. But above all I would compliment Costas and his team for their hospitality, warmness and responsiveness in offering service. When we arrived I was gasping for a beer after a long drive. Costas was clearly busy but he dropped everything and had a beer and nuts sent to our room within 2 minutes. Any catches? The steep drive is not for the (very) faint hearted drivers! But then if you are driving in Greece you are probably up for this anyway!

Room Tip: The highest ones have the best views!

Our second visit - last time in October 2012 (see previous review).

Once again, we had a wonderful time. The owners, Kostas and Panagiota, offer a genuinely warm welcome and the accommodation and food was again of a high standard. The breakfasts remain the best I've had in any hotel, anywhere. We chose to eat in at the hotel for three of the nights, and the evening food was delicious - freshly prepared, Greek menus using local ingredients. Overall the hotel is great value.

This part of Greece has much to see - and the visits to Nafplio and the island of Hydra were highlights. Late April / early May is a great time to visit the region. The temperature was around 30 degrees C the whole time and the olive and orange groves are covered in blossom that leaves the air with the most unbelievable perfume.

Once again, thoroughly recommended. We'll certainly be back!

Room Tip: All the rooms have a unique character and all seem to have a sea view. I don't think you can go...
