This is possibly the best value excellent cuisine in Slovenia, and it is probably a consequence of a set of circumstances. The young cook worked with one of the best Slovenian cooks (Uroš Štefelin) before he moved to this unassuming place, which I guess makes for a relaxed working atmosphere a couple of houses away from his home, and he has no worry about finances since its the Tourist bureau who runs the place. So he is not ambitious, good for us who are often in the vicinity... He is though ambitious about his cooking, and that is what counts! If you do not know the place already, than be prepared to be surprised where this excellent cuisine is served - next to the camping place and a tennis tent, the last place to expect deer carpaccio with goose liver, freshwater fish you do not find elsewhere, fancy desserts.... The cook uses mostly local foodstuff, wines are honest, no big selection.it's nice alpine style with big wooden tables and benches in the outside sitting area. If you sit with the back to the cabin you actually get a beautiful view of the mountains (Bohinj is so beautiful!) and now it has a great cook, finally! By the way, also staff is local and very friendly.
