Just returned from a week at Klavze 28. We absolutely loved everything about it. The house has been beautifully renovated with an incredible eye for detail. Our room was really spacious and comfortable with excellent interior design and spotlessly finished.

Ben was the perfect host - we immediately felt welcome and comfortable at Klavze 28 and really enjoyed his company. He has an excellent of knowledge of the local area and was able to give great advice on how to spend our time. Ben has a real passion for food: we couldn't get enough of it and ended up eating there most nights! The food was delicious and prepared using wholesome, local, seasonal ingredients. We loved eating out on the terrace with the sun setting in the background, great conversation and some excellent Slovenian wines. Breakfast couldn't have been fresher as we were treated to fresh eggs each morning straight from the chicken house!

Klavze feels like it's perfectly isolated with a stunning backdrop of mountains and woodland but within an hour you can easily be enjoying the Italian port town of Trieste or in the Slovenian vineyards. It was also so easy to get to Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Triglav National Park and Piran.

We loved every minute of our stay And can't wait to return. If you're thinking of visiting Slovenia - you won't find a better place to stay than this.

My wife and I just spent three days at Klavze 28 at the tail end of a holiday through Croatia and Slovenia, and it was absolutely the highlight of the entire holiday. Ben is the perfect host, warm and generous (and a fantastic cook). The house is stunning and comfortable, beautifully appointed and homey. The location is spectacular, with the B&B nestled into a quiet valley, insulated from neighbors and surrounded by lush green, with a stream rushing in the background and a panoramic view of the mountains going the whole way around.

I can't recommend Klavze 28 highly enough, and can't wait to go back again as soon as possible!

I stayed for a long weekend in July. The hospitality was warm and generous, the farmhouse is comfortable and relaxed, soft beds, crisp white sheets, super chic vintage bathrooms and furnishings - like being in some hip NYC venue but actually you're up in the pure air of the Slovenian mountains. My idea of total heaven! Breakfast was fresh eggs from the very chickens that were pecking about in the wildflower meadow in front of us. Aussie owner Ben has fantastic local connections, we could have gone kayaking or climbing or wine tasting but somehow never made it further than swimming in the (cold but great) river below the house. Basically it's a Little House on the Prairie but in the mountains in Slovenia fantasy with someone else doing the cooking. We did pull ourselves away from the view to do an evening dinner outing to beautiful Trieste (just over an hour) and a daytrip to Venice (about 2 hours drive). The airport (Trieste) was just about an hour away so it's do-able for a weekend, and the drive up the Soca valley to the village is spectacular. I was really delighted and a bit surprised to discover this area of Slovenia/ Italy - a brilliant mix of beautiful mountains and easy access to some of the great Italian cities. Great, great, great - lightyears better than the standard B&B experience.

Room Tip: They all have great views, maybe the one with the walk-in shower would be a good tip.

Just back from a week at Klavze 28 and what can I say. An amazing stay. A pretty Slovenia farmhouse set in rural Slovenia but within easy reach of all the local attractions. Ben is an amazing cook and host. Eggs from the hen's every morning for breakfast and a variety of evening meals using local produce. The BBQ on the last night was fantastic, sitting out on the terrace with a nice glass of wine and great food as the sun went down. The highlight of the whole trip was walking through the woods around the property picking the last of the wild garlic before retiring indoors to make wild garlic pesto! And Ben even gave me a few jars to bring home to remind me of my stay. As a place to get away front the rat race I could't recommend a better place.

We stayed here for a week in June and had a perfect week in Slovenia. The farmhouse is close to lots of nearby places of interest including Lake Bled which is just under an hour away by train (the train station is a short walk from the farmhouse).

Ben is the perfect host making a wholesome breakfast every morning and the most delicious three course dinners every evening. We ate on the terrace every evening which was a delight.

Our room was lovely and the beds were particualrly comfy.

Like the previous reviewer suggests, get in there quick before everyone catches on.

Room Tip: Its worth a trip to the capital Ljbuliana. We caught the train there and the bus back to Most Na Soc...

I recently spent 5 days at Klavze 28 and it is easily one of the best trips I've ever been on. The trip to the house was filled with spectacular views of the area and then you arrive to the house itself! It's gorgeous. The owners were so welcoming and they had truly thought of everything (as far as I could tell) when it came to the comforts of travel.

The food I had at the B&B was the best food I had during my stay in Slovenia. We were treated to local trout from the river running through the property to a love-filled mushroom risotto. The breakfasts each morning were made with fresh eggs from the property as well. Now that I'm home, I really miss having all of that great food waiting for me with no effort on my part!

We had a car on our trip so we were really able to explore the area. The owner of the B&B recommended a local outfitter for a canyoning trip nearby and set us off on the right path daily for the sites we were headed off to see. Those included: touring the nearby wine region, a trip north to Lake Bled and Bohinj, riding the car train back from the north, a trip to the coast to see the beautiful sunsets in Piran, touring the caves and castle in Postojna, and just the day to day places just next to the B&B including Most Na Soci and the local honey merchants. It was all so gorgeous and prestine.

I keep telling people they should hurry to Slovenia before everyone catches on! Definitely give Klavze 28 a try if you decide to take that advice. It was great. I'll post pics to show what my room looked like.

Room Tip: One room on the floor I was on had both a tub and shower, the other was a walk in shower only...If y...
