You don't have to be a wine lover to appreciate the Palas Cerequio but if you appreciate the Barolo that is made in this hallowed part of the Earth, it helps. This lovely small hotel surrounded by vines is also modern Italian design and efficiency. Great English-Italian couple run the place - super efficient and friendly. Rooms are a bit mad but great - just what you need when you get away from home. Small, understated, luxury with really great beds with amazing views over the vineyards. Worth it but I would be tempted to go in the Spring when there are less tourists in Piedmont. A great destination. Prefer the modern suites to those in the main house.....;

Room Tip: Stay in the modern wing if you like great baths, steam rooms and fab views

We've stayed here in early October, during the wine harvest... The scenery is simply breath taking and it was so nice to walk trough the wineyards and look over the shoulders of winemakers. The hotel itself is amazingly designed, the staff very friendly and helpful. If you like wine, this is a 'must stop'!

A true fantastic location in an extraordinary environment. You can enjoy the rest and Italian hospitality. The hosts have a strong 'will to please' and will do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Minus is that the truffle hunt that the hotel offers is done by a hunter who speaks and understands only Italian. 40euros a person for a 'forest walk' is not cheap.
Tip : a wine tasting at Conterno-Fantino : beautiful cellars, fine wine and a stunning view...

I have been to many, boutique hotel of the wine Country in California, Burgundy or Bordeaux.
The Palas Cerequio is located in the heart of the Grand Crus of Barolo. The Panoramic view is exceptional, Very modern rooms with all the amenities and more...
The service is impeccable.
Under the main building, you can find one of the most incredible tasting room with wines from ALL the producers of Barolo.
I would give this property ....six stars

We stayed at Palas Cerequio in the beginning of September 2012. We actually rented the whole venue for our wedding celebration. This place is above all expectations:) Jayne and Roberto are very friendly and helpfull. They do everything they can to make sure you have an unforgettable stay. The location is perfect!! Amazing view over the wineyards and very peaceful. The hotel is completeley up to date. All the rooms are newly renovated and up to date. Lovely decor and great bathrooms with spa. Their winecellar is a must see: it's very different to all the other traditional places. Also, we can recommend wine tasting with Roberto.
The breakfast, lunch and dinner are completely home made and very tasty.
The venue was perfect for a wedding celebration. We were 47 people and it was absolutely the perfect place!! Great location in the middle of the wineyards with amazing view. All of the guests were stunned by this place as well. We had a chef that came to Palas Cerequio and took care of everyting regarding the food etc. We had the aperitif, dinner, wedding cake and dancing outside. There are so many good things to say about this place and I could write a whole story. You really feel like home when you're there. We were so well taken care of and I would really like to thank Jayne and Roberto for an unforgettable stay and for making our wedding celebration perfect!! We would highly recommend it and we will definately come back:) Thank you!

Room Tip: We book all the rooms for our wedding celebration. I prefered the futuro suites. The past decor room...

One of my all time favourites. This hotel is above what you would expect from a small wineyard hotel. I've never met such friendly staff and nothing was ever a problem to them, everything could be fixed! The room was clean, big and well equipped with things like a small kitchen, excellent wifi and soundsystem for your iPod (and if you dont have one, there is also one in your room). The view from the small pool outside over the italian landscape is awesome! And although there is no restaurant at the hotel, they still have an superb snack menu, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby anyways. One of the best hotels for a chillax weekend!
