This Restaurant is in a great location, has a very good reputation. We went during truffle season, enjoyed the pasta dish with truffles. One of our main course was not up to par with what it should have been...The service was excellent, the server apologized and took it off our check. Just the type of experience that can happen any restaurant.
The wine list must have the most in depth selection of Piemonte Barolo and Barbera d'Asti. We selected a Barbera d'Asti "La Court" from Michele Chiarlo, a great wine and a great value.
We would definitely return to this Restaurant.
Must be great on the terrace in the summer

“one of my best meals in Piemonte!”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

After reading the terrific reviews here in TA i decided to make a reservation, unfortunately they were fully booked since it was the Truffle season festival.I wrote the restaurant and ask that if they had a cancellation to please let me know and I would gladly go even at last minute,my cry for depression and persistence won and I got a table! if they are fully booked ask to be put on wait list .I highly recommend going during lunch time as the view is terrific,we went in the evening and saw nothing although the restaurant is so beautiful and elegant but at the same time very warm.
The menu is very good and not too complicated ,an impressive wine list and a lot of excellent local barolo wines so reasonably priced. My husband ordered the Riserva Barolo 2003 bovio by the glass and it was fantastic and I had a glass of white erneis by the glass .We did the degustation menu priced at 45 euros which was really well priced and delicious .
Service is great, servers are attentive and nice .it is not surprising that it is always fully booked.

“What a GREAT experience!”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

We went to Bovio our last night in Italy. Velda at the Cascina Del Monastero agriturismo recommended Bovio. The experience, quality and price of the meal was fabulous. The best part, high quality with no pretense. Food for the love of food. Children are welcome but not obtrusive - we saw what we believe was the owner's young daughter in the restaurant, i've never seen a kitten before in a restaurant (dogs for sure in Europe) but they had a new kitten and he was well on his way to being a restauranteur - welcoming guests. Locals were there, they know the gem they have. We had the tasting menu. The carne cruda was out of this world, we loved the meat stuffed zucchini flower, there was an open faced mushroom filled ravioli that was outstanding. The bread was amazing. The mushroom salad was terrific. Get the tasting menu it's a lot of food and you try things that you may not get to. Both of us had the ravioli and the beef cooked in Barolo. The gravy that the beef was cooked in was rich and delicious - the meat just fell a part - no knife needed. The menu comes with cheese or dessert - so we ordered one of each. The cheese was excellent paired with honey and a confiture. We were served a dessert sampler with semi freddo, panna cotta and a choocolate hazelnut riche pudding like amazing thing - we loved it. We didn't do this - but you could upgrade meals with white truffles - and the upcharge was very reasonable - we did get to smell the white truffles as others in the dining room endulged. Got to Bovio you won't be disappointed.

We found this restaurant also on Tripadvisor with a exellent vote and I can conferm that this restaurant is exellent. We reserved through the Hotel in the morning otherwise no more place. Price and Quality is really good. We had a very gentle and good service. The food was very good. If you reserve you will properly have a table with a wonderful view.
