We did the Molokini Wildside Adventure, due to the smaller size. We liked having not as many people on the boat, but it is a smaller boat so there is not a lot of space. However - after seeing the big boats with lots of people, we were glad we had only 30. We got a lot of opportunity to snorkel. Snorkeling at Molokini was great - lots of fish and very clear water. The crew on this boat was excellent (Anna, Drew, Flora). We had snorkeled before so just jumped in, but I think they helped those who had not snorkeled if needed. The second snorkel spot was kind of a downer, but that is mostly due to the fact there were southern swells stirring up the water. We did see some turtles though. The food and drinks were great. No lockers for your stuff, but we didn't have any problems. Take a sweatshirt with a hood as it is chilly in the mornings. Keep it dry so you can put it on as you boat ride around. We were freezing until lunch time, but still had fun snorkeling.

Best snorkel trip ever! Wonderful visibility at Molokini Crater, great variety of sea life of the coast of Lanai, and a friendly and informative crew to help us experience it all! We got to see a pod of over 100 spinner dolphins, as well as multiple sea turtles. Of course that's not guaranteed, but we lucked out.

We were on the Ocean Voyager out of Ma'alea Harbor, and we'll never forget that trip.

My family and I recently participated in a wonderful Molokini Eco Express tour with Pacific Whale Foundation. The overall experience was very positive. The catamaran was relaxing and comfortable, the staff was accommodating, educational and ensured a safe and fun trip. They provided a good lunch and opportunity to snorkel for about an hour before heading back to Maui. The price was excellent compared to other tours. Our only disappointment was to notice that the coral in the Molokini snorkeling area is obviously under distress and many areas are dying. It is very sad to see. We saw many types of colorful fish so it was still worth it.

We received a dolphin tour as part of a Living Social deal with Napili Kai Resort. Had a great time. Sailed out to the south end of Lanai, right into a large school of spinner dolphins, upon which, the boat came about and we cruised with the dolphins for about 45 minutes. 3 other inflatables then joined us to form a little flotilla, which the dolphins seemed to enjoy, as there was lots of dolphin spinning out of the water by the inflatables. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. At the end, though, we spent about 1/2 hour near the LaHaina harbor, looking for green turtles, which kind of seemed like a time-killer.

We went with Pacific Whale Foundation to Lanai. It’s a 5 hr trip with 90 minutes of snorkeling. They have veggie burger for lunch so that’s good. Also, the marine biologists on board were awesome and imparted a lot of information to us. I would highly recommend this for first time snorkelers. The biologists were with us for around 20 minutes in the water until we felt comfortable which was really helpful. Special call out for Gina for her immense help and guidance. They can have up to 150 ppl on their boat, but the day we went there were just 45. So that helped a lot. We also saw spinner dolphins on our way back, which was awesome.
