We booked a sunrise whale watching cruise with the PWF in February. The experience was worth every penny. The staff and crew were professional, attentive and friendly. They are very knowledgeable and we had a great time. A pod of whales swam around our boat for at least 30 minutes and the experience was thrilling. Two hours is just the right amount of time for this trip. I thought I would want a longer experience, but the two hours was just right. One note - they told us to check in 45 minutes before the cruise. We arrived 20 minutes before the departure and had to hustle to get to the boat in time. They really do mean the 45 minute check-in. When I come back to Maui, I will definitely book another cruise with them to see the whales. The experience was breathtaking.

We went on this whale watching excursion on the second cruise of the morning. We saw every possible whale activity. The naturalists on board were knowledgeable and helpful. It was the highlight of our trip. i would go again in a heartbeat.

We signed up to do some great snorkeling and got the best whale watch ever. Went to 2 great snorkel spots but the best was the 15 minute whale watch 20 feet from our boat. There were 7 whales (yes 7!) in a group playing around and our boat called in a research team who came racing in to observe! Truly amazing trip which topped off our family trip by far. The crew were great and food was good. This was all capped off by a sudden stop on the way back to watch spinner dolphins show off beside the boat. Such a great time and glad we went with with them, will do again when we come back.

Had 2 great Pacific Whale trips this weekend. First the dinner cruise out of Lahaina on the Ocean Discovery. Wonderful evening, great food and service and live music. Just beautiful.
Second the Whale Watch on the Freedom Raft. IF YOU ARE GOING ON A WHALE WATCH YOU HAVE TO GO ON A RAFT!! What a difference, the whales are so close to you, they go under the raft and come up right in front of you! The raft is the way to go. Great Whale Watch and Dinner Cruise, Thanks Pacific Whale

We went on a two hour whale watch yesterday afternoon. The crew was excellent. Someone sat with my 7 and 9 year old with whale models and provided them about 5 minutes of education about whales. We were on one of the large boats and it was very nice. Saw plenty of whales and spinner dolphins.
