CPT. Brian and crew were terrific. Clear safety briefing, easy to understand rules and great service. The crew answered many questions and were never annoyed (at least on the outside). We fished in different spots. I believe everyone on the boat caught at least one fish. I caught three and my wife caught three. If you are going to book an excursion, don't miss out on this one. You will learn a lot, have loads of fun and catch fish. Hats off to Aloha Blue Charters. We will see you again! RECOMMENDATIONS BEFORE YOU ARRIVE: Bring your own snacks or sandwiches. It's 4 hours. They provide some ice and tea, guava juice or water. Also wear shoes with good tread. Sit at the top with the Captain if you can. Better views. Be sure your camera is secure. You will be handling bait (Squid) so things get slippery. You might want to pack a wind breaker or a light rain jacket, just in case. There is a bathroom on board, but try to go before you leave the harbor. Bring some lemon in the car so you can rid your hands of the fish smell.

Made a short notice reservation to go fishing on Hokua. Wound up having a great time despite a tiny bout of seasickness that came and went. My beau said it was the highlight of the trip. We caught four fish. Not bad at all. Freddy and Captain Brian were great company and helped us with any questions we had. Freddy fileted our fish and we froze them and packed them on gel pack ice to take home to CA. Thanks for the fun morning out.

We recently chartered Aloha Blue for an afternoon on the water. This was our 6th or 7th time with this company and we highly recommend them. We stumbled onto them years ago after another company had cancelled our outing for the second time. Aloha Blue was recommended and we hopped aboard. The crew was exceptional. No scripted speeches just genuine, professional guys who love their work and are passionate about showing their guests a great time on the water. We felt safe the whole time whether snorkeling or just cruising. They know whale and sea life culture and were eager to put us onto the best locations to experience all that the waters off of Maui have to offer. In a few short hours, we felt like family and they were so kind to the littlest ones in our family. Tara who takes the reservation is amazing. She made our plans come to fruition and went above and beyond to make the process easy. When we arrived everything was taken care of. In a word Aloha Blue is nearly flawless. The dolphin and whale watching was so much fun. This is a jet driven boat so there are no propellers to injure sea life. We think the whales think Aloha Blue is a spa as they seem to enjoy the bubbles issuing forth from the jet engine are there for their enjoyment. We saw many of them up close and personal. What a thrill! Thank you Aloha Blue for so many great moments on the water over the years.

Found myself on Maui alone for 8 days and needed to fill the time. Stumbled on aloha blue charters and couldn't be happier with my fishing trip. Captain Matt and the crew were super attentive and friendly. They did their best to make sure less experienced fishers knew what they were doing, and the more experienced ones had the time they needed at each spot to catch something.

I've heard some horror stories about crews in Hawaii being cocky and rude to tourists. Was so glad this boat wasn't like that at all. I loved my trip so much, I booked another two days later.

Also an added plus, captain Matt is pretty cute, so if you don't catch anything, at least you have something nice to look at.

DEFINITELY book a trip. You will not be disappointed.
