Travelled to Hawaii at the end of November for 2 weeks and started our vacation in Maui for the first 5 nights.
As we are used to small intimate snorkel trips (less than 12 people), Maui Boat trips fit the bill perfectly. In fact, we shared the boat with only one other couple. That was amazing!!!
It wasn't a cheap trip approx ($240 pp) for 5 hours, but it was worth every penny and we would do it again in a heart beat!
The skipper (killer) and his first mate the lovely Melissa, provided excellent customer service the entire time and they served up an awesome lunch filled with fresh fruit, chicken, ribs and salad. There was also no shortage of alcohol on the trip which was an added bonus.
They also brought us to a nice calm area up the coast where we were able to snorkel with large sea turtles and other maine life. It was heaven!
So, if you are looking for a small intimate adventure with not a lot of people, great customer service, an awesome lunch and no one fighting for shade, then look no furhter. You need to book this trip right away!!!......You won't regret it!!!!

My husband does not swim and our children, ages 9, 11 & 13 have never snorkeled. It was the 5 of us and a couple from England on the boat. I am so glad that we went with Maui Boat Trips. Only 7 passengers, the Captain and one 1st Mate. My children where very nervous about swimming in the ocean, with all the fish and Sea Turtles around. Melissa was great with our kids, she even let our 13 year old daughter paddle around on her surf board so she wouldn't be so afraid. They are all about you having the greatest experience possible. They took us to Honolulu Bay and it was like swimming in an aqurium - just beautiful. Avoid the larger tour lines, you are just a number to them. Did a private charter in August, 2011. Can't fully describe how great it was. Great weather, great boat, great location, great snorkeling. What could be better than that? Will definitely sign on with "Killer" again if he is still at it in 2013. The experience was a mushroom cloud of kick-[-].

Hi Kelly,
Just wanted you to know that we had an absolutely wonderful day on the boat yesterday (other than the fact that I am now beat red- thanks to an error on my part :) ) We were able to see TONS of fish, and three sea turtles. One even swam up to me, about 2 feet away!
It was a wonderful experience and a wonderful memory. We will be back- hopefully next time with enough friends to fill up an entire boat! Thank you for all of your efforts in making it an experience we will not forget.

We did a shared snorkeling charter with Maui Boat Trips for our 5th wedding anniversary. We were thrilled when we showed up and there was only one other couple going out with us that morning. So many of the other charters out of Lahaina stuff way too many people on their boats to make the trips personal or enjoyable. We were served breakfast and lunch, as well as mimosas and other beverages throughout the day. We went to two different snorkeling locations, which made the trip even better! The crew was awesome and very accomodating. I can't say enough about how great Maui Boat Trips is. If you are looking for a spectacular, practically private charter for the price that the "big guys" charge, go with www.mauiboattrips.com and you won't be disappointed!
