We took the local buses out to Zipa - very cheap and easy (although the drivers are loco). We decided to go on a Monday to avoid crowds, this we achieved but the downside was there was only one English guide available so we had to wait and hour and a half - no big deal. No visitor will regret visiting this astonishing marvel. Long route in the Cathedral is recommended, so you can experiment the mining activities besides the religious symbology carved in the rock.

Yes, it's a salt mine and perhaps not the most appealing attraction, yet the cathedral carved into the mine is an amazing sight to see. The huge crosses and cavernous halls make this one place that photographs don't do justice to.
