We've been in Turkey for nearly two weeks and this is the first disappointing restaurant experience we've had. Service was very slow and the food was disappointing. I had a casserole -- expected veggies and chicken and it was only chicken. The beets with greens was good though, and the view is lovely. Bottom line -- don't bother.

The food gave my husband an upset stomach and didn't taste good to boot. The dishes we ordered were very bland and the best thing we had there were the free olives they give you with the bread.

Service was also not good. We asked for water and it came after all of the food had been served.

We came here for lunch and they sort of insist us to order a set menu. When we asked for ala carte menu, the waiter didn't seem happy. The food is average but I have to admit they have a nice view of the village. When we received the bill, we found out there are few items that we didn't order. We asked politely about this matter but the waiter wasn't happy and give us a rude attitude so we asked for the manager and surprisingly the manager came and took the bill with unhappy face and grumbling. The second bill came, they took of some of the items that we complaint but charged more for the drink. We decided to pay and left the restaurant. Avoid this restaurant! Better to have lunch in Selcuk (near St John tombs) - there are plenty of nice rest and then you can visit Sirince village.

My wife and I visited Sirince during a recent stay in Selcuk. Went to the Artemis Restaurant in Sirince due to its reviews and setting... beatifully situated with views of hillsides and valleys....

Got there early afternoon. Delightful day, beautiful setting and we sat in the main courtyard, and sat, and sat. After 10 minutes waiter came by asked if we were ready to order. We asked for menus and and waited. At 15 minutes later, we ordered wine and our meal. There were 3 other tables occupied in the courtyard -- they also waited and waited. The wine came and we placed our order and waited, and waited and waited.

There was a large group from a tour company on the lower level. There were what appeared to be two managers (in ties and jackets) arranging a new group seating area near us. After waing another 20 minutes since ordering I asked the tied gentlemen if one was the manager ... he stated yes. I said we had been waiting an excessively long time.... He went back to arranging his seating. No acknowledgement of an issue no appologies, no accomodation.

I foud the waiter, gave him money for the wine and left.

This is the definition of a tourist trap. Our group went there after visiting the ancient city of Ephesos. The location of the restaurant is excellent. On top of a hill it overlooks the countryside. But this is where the good stuff ends. The food is bland, greasy, and tasteless, The spicach burek that I had was absolutely awful. The pastry was thick and greasy, and the filling tasteless. How can you do that in an area where everything is so fresh and so tasty? The service is poor and the prices very high for what is on offer. To cap it all up, at the end of the meal we had baclava, that was simply inedible.
