“A wonderful experience”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

it is not often we get to dine in the old wine vaults of a winery. Like so many places in Turkey, the service was outstanding. The food was excellent and so much better than the tourist food in major towns. We drank a lovely red wine from the local winery. Highly recommended experience.

“near esphesus, nice break and ok area to wander.”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

food is normal kebabs, ntg great, ntg terrible. Ok menu, kids might have a bit of difficult time at this one. Owner was a bit rude about bathroom usage. a short drive to get there. They come by the bus load to explore the small flea market and wander the town. Ok if you skip it and go elsewhere, not missing anything at this restaurant or market. (selcuk farmers market way better).

“Great atmosphere, but overpriced.”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

The restaurant itself is lovely. Sadly, because of its large size and prime location, it has evolved into a bit of a tourist trap. The buses drop the tourists off en masse right in front of the place, so it's a natural place to meet and eat. Don't get me wrong. The view is lovely. The options for seating are various (inside, outside, fairly private...) The waitstaff is friendly enough, but as with all tourist traps, it is overpriced and the service is a bit lacking. You probably won't have a bad meal, but I also know that just up the hill, you can get fabulous ambiance, great views and authentic Turkish food at better prices. Something to consider.

“Guidebook was wrong”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

This restaurant was highly rated by two guidebooks we consulted. However, at best, it was average. Although winter, we were the only people in the restaurant. The waiter, Polak, was wonderful. But the meal did not match their pictures or descriptions and was simply adequate. The baklava was stale and soggy. The building is a museum. Visit that..Go elsewhere for food.
