This hotel is as close to the top of Nemrut Dag as you can get and the staff was friendly and helpful. We were the only guests at the time so they gave us our pick of rooms. The rooms were basic but clean and they put space heaters in each to help warm them up. Shower leaked a bit, and took about 5 minutes to warm up, but there was enough hot water once it started. We took the half-board option and dinner and breakfast were both great, as they served a tasty guvec (stew) for dinner and a huge traditional Turkish breakfast of breads, cheeses, olives, jams, honey etc. The drive to the top of Nemrut was about 15 minutes and not difficult (another 15-20 minute hike from the parking lot required). We went up for both sunset and sunrise and the hotel staff made sure we were up in plenty of time to reach the peak for sunrise.

All in all a pleasant one night stay. Expect a basic, but acceptable room, and you shouldn't be disappointed.

If you want to stay close to the top of Mt Nemrut (so as to be able to go there at sunset or sunrise), then you don't have many choices. In fact, just two: this hotel or the Karavanseray Hotel next door, which appeared to be closed at the time of writing (April).

All things considered, this is a pretty good bet. The staff know little English but are eager to help, the position is great, the rooms were clean enough and functional (some of them having been newly remodeled), the food was good considering they made it especially for us, as we were the only guests there. Breakfast was served individually rather than as a buffet and was good and plentiful. They also prepared dinner for us for 20 TL per person, and except for some chewy meat it was pretty good too. Anyway, where else would we have gone?! There's nothing up there.

The manager (if he's there) speaks good English and is very helpful with directions and information. He also has a great DVD documentary on Mt Nemrut that makes good after-dinner viewing. (Again, what else is there to do up there?!)

The layout of this hotel would remind you of a American motel. Its a nice hotel in a fantastic location overlooking a valley but spoiled by having broken sanitary ware & rubbish on hotel grounds fronting the view. They have a small outdoor swimming pool but has no water in it,The bedroom was a good size but no air conditioning but had a decent en-suite but hot water was a problem As it took 10 minutes for the water to get warm with no hot water in the morning.Breakfast was served in the main dining room which had a separate entrance from hotel & serviced by outside toilets.Seating & tables are unusual as they were built with red bricks & timber tops. The room is fitted with a flat screen tv but there are no seats facing same so you have to sit sideways on fixed seating which is not very comfortable.Staff did there best to accommodate at breakfast which was good. This hotel is a mixed bag for a new hotel some good & some not so good but location is good & staff do try & make your stay a pleasant one

we stayed here at the end of the season and were the only guests, but there were groups just before and after us, so do not always expect to have it for yourself. Friendly welcome, there was also a Dutch lady who said she was there for her 4th year, so you could speak English, German and Dutch as far as I understood. The location is very convenient, it is just above the village of Karadut, and among the closest to Mount Nemrut (from the south side approach), expect a 10 minutes drive to the car park before the walk up to the terraces. I could not judge its full appeal, as the swimming pool was not available anymore (logical given the weather), and we had quite bad weather which reduced most of the times the possible nice views you can have from the restaurant. Dinner is included in price we got, and we received a very decent meal: soup, salad, main dish and fruit/sweets dessert plate. Not much choice anyway in the village as far as we could see. Room was clean and large, and they even offered the kids to sleep in different room if we wanted. There is hot water but you had to wait quite a long time for it. We got extra blankets and they offered to bring electric heating if we wanted. Breakfast was the normal Turkish one you could expect in these places, with some vegetables, jam,...

It claims to be 4 star but it was very hot and there was no aircon, no fan, and no airflow through the room. So hot we couldnt sleep. Although it was clean and spacious enough, the bathroom drain stank of sewage. When we complained they put some bleach down it, perhaps to disguise it from the next person. Hot water only if you are lucky. Even running the water for 20 mins didnt always yield anything more than tepid. Many of the rooms have been renovated- there were 2 holes in our wall with several wires sticking out. No attempt made to disguise the unfinished look; not even a picture.
Dinner and breakfast are included and dinners were pleasant stews, not anything special. Dessert was fruit. Wine, beer and soft drinks are available but cost extra. The property was managed by a Dutch lady called Marika who spoke English and was pleasant but a little vague about managment issues.
Beware if you are tall (over about 170cm) when leaving rooms as my partner twice smashed his head on a low doorway (blood everywhere!)

Room Tip: Check the bathroom drains first. Check if its hot to see if your room has AC or at least a fan.

This hotel suffered damage over a rough winter but the rooms were clean, (although still in need of some repair), the water was hot and the food was amazing. Eating breakfast looking out over the mountains was one of the highlights of our trip. The staff were exceptionally friendly. This hotel is great value for the money! If you are on your way up to Mount Nemrut you should plan to drive the extra past Kahta to this Hotel!

Room Tip: We had the end unit corner room with views from three windows on two of the walls. Beautiful!

My wife and I stayed here on the nights of 3 and 4 May, 2012. I have no fond memories of our stay. Our room was damp, bedding inadequate (it was cold during our stay), the toilet/shower not clean, service indifferent and food unmemorable. Had I known what was waiting beforehand, I would have brought my own sleeping bag. When wet, the paving outside the rooms needs careful negotiation as it gets very slippery. Great views from the dining terrace.

Room Tip: Rather find another hotel.
