We were 20 people, the guys from the hut found a place for us, the room is comfortable, there is a nice fireplace outside as well as inside. The food was very delicious! There is a mountain water in the garden good for drinking. I'm happy!

Unique accommodation in a beautiful mountain/forest location. Friendly service from Ivan and amazing home-made food. Even has basic wifi and hot water. Fireplace makes the lounge very cosy. A great option if you're hiking in the Seven Lakes area.

Let me start by saying I had a great time!
We spent a night after coming down the
mountain and seeing some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. We came in dirty, wet and cold and were greeted with a warm welcome hot soup and a glowing fireplace. It’s a real forest/mountain hut at best can be called a hostel. The main building hosting the warm fireplace with tables and wooden benches cushioned nicely resembles a Han in the Middle East where people sit around the fire/fireplace and eat drink and communicate. Full of young hikers from all over the world. The kitchen is right next door but it takes forever to get what you order... the sleeping quarters which are upstairs of the
described Han are on a hostel level and on the outside some old barns have been converted to additional sleeping spaces.
There are old broken down and worn out beds with stinky blankets and dirty floors.
Some things must be said- not for elderly, not a hotel, not a hostel. Can’t reach it by a regular car you need a serious 4x4 to get there or by foot an hour hike from the last drivable road. The guys running the place are great they are mainly volunteers and create a unique atmosphere and experience. Yet the place could be ran more efficiently.
Will come back

We arrived this hut after a fantastic day in the Rila National Park. We had some problems to find somebody for reception. We had previous reservation but they did not have any idea about it. Finally they showed us our 'triple room', like a shoe box of less than 4 square meters, with two 'bed' (or something similar). The blankets were dirty and raided. The door was broken. We asked for clean bed sheets. When we were going to replace them we found a big excrement inside the bed. Really disgusting. No apologies from the person attending us.
Appart from this, the 'cottages' surrounding the main house were ramsackle. Junks and trush in front of some doors. The only possitive thing was the environment, beautiful forest. Very bad place to pass the night. We had to leave and look for another place.
