We had a recent break in Stubai valley. we stayed in this hotel. I was trepidacious, having read the reviews on here AFTER booking! However, it was much better than anticipated. We arrived and were greeted by a very pleasant young lady who spoke impeccable English - Jennifer, I think! In fact, despite the criticisms elsewhere, there were NO problems with language. What the devil do people expect?! You are in Austria, not London! I am always a bit embarrassed when I cannot speak the local lingo in a country.
We were VERY lucky - we were there at end of April, mid-week, so for a couple of days, we practically had the hotel to ourselves!!
We had a family room that was massive, and well appointed. We had a lovely balcony. Beautiful views up the Stubai valley.
People are critical of the food. Jeez! We have stayed in Austria before. The food in this hotel is exactly what one expects when one goes to Austria. I guess we were prepared & had the kids drilled! They were fine with the grub. I have to say, we had no complaints, but then, we love our grub! The food is quirky, but that is part of the charm of the whole place, if truth be told.
Breakfasts were the usual great Austrian breakfasts - could not complain.
Thank you for a nice stay, folks.
To make it perfect, get your internet access extended to all rooms. Might even be prepared to pay a small amount for same.

Room Tip: Get a valley/mountain view - beautiful.

Booked a weekend stay in this hotel for skiing trip with group of friends. I must admit I only read reviews at the booking website where this hotel achieved "fabulous" rating and that, in the Tirol region, where the hotel culture is among the best in the world made me think that we are going to get some above average accomondation service and...

... well, in many parts of the world this would be a fine hotel. Our family room was spacious and clean (although some details, such as occasionally derailing shower door, told that the maintenance could be better), however, room services completely missed our rooom on one day. Staff nice, young girls at the reception spoke very good English, however, there were also downsides such as ever present cigarette smoke in public areas, missing elevator, very steep stairs to the family room which are not very suitable for families with little kids, etc.).

Also the half board which we got was not exactly value for money. Breakfast was fine, however, for the dinner, although it was by no means bad, a better deal can probably be found for about the same price in some local Gaststätte. Also there is just one normal and one vegetarian option for dinner so if you do not like what is on the menu (and some of the things we received were quite specific such as seafood) you need to go elsewhere anyway. So I say, take the breakfast, skip the dinner option.

The result: The hotel is probably ok and the disappointment I felt is most likely the result of too optimistic reviews. On the other hand, since there are so many much nicer hotels in this region (sometimes even cheaper) I would say it is probably better to go elsewhere.

The rooms are good but the food is NOT! There is not enough staff so you cannot always find someone to ask, there is a lack of reliable information about local transport, places to go, things to do etc etc.
The ladies toilet near the sauna wasn't cleaned for the 3 days we were there.
The room had a balcony and was roomy and comfortable with a good shower but the toilet lid would not stay up, so a bit of maintenance was required.
A lovely area so it was a shame that the hotel did not live up to its 3 stars!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the side facing the mountains not a room on the other side where they face the car...

The worst things about this hotel were: unclean rooms, unkind service, terible food, but the worst thing is that the german guests were treated better and for example got fresh pastry each morning. Moreover polish guests were treated as secound-class citizens. I really wouldn't recomend it, especialy to people from Poland.

The personel does not speak english. The food is bad and you don't have any influence or alternative since this is an "all inclusive". Lunch is a really small packet of white bred with cheese. Nothing to drink comes with the so called lunch. The wine you get for free (all inclusive) is terrible. Almost undrinkable. The man that mainly takes care of the guests is rude and i no way serviceminded at all.
There is no showercreme in the room. Only tiny little soaps. No hairdryer. The sheets are so worn that there are holes in them.
The hotel smells awful since both guests and personel smokes almost everywhere.
Before we went on our trip we phoned the hotel and talked to a person who could speak english. He promised several things, for example that I could get the food I need since I am a diabetic. Nothing of what he promised corresponded with reality. And he himself was for 2 months leave and the only one who could speak english among the staff.
The keys to the rooms hang in the reception where there most of the time were no personal. Anyone could easily take the keyes.

We stayed at the Wiesenhof as part of a cross country skiing package. The Hotel has great facilities a great location for cross country skiing (5 minute walk to the ski areas) and excellent service.

It is and feels like a family run hotel but in the best modern tradition of service. A vey relaxing week.
