We were a group of five. We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. I really love the place, the view of the mountains from the white island together with the sunset was priceless. BUT during our first breakfast, we got served soup that wasn't hot so we had to ask the waiter to heat the soup again. We ordered coffee while waiting for the soup but we had to remind the waiters more than twice that we were waiting for our coffee. The food took so long. We ordered a dish that was good for five, but there was miscommunication in the kitchen so we got served food that was only good for ONE PERSON! So we had to order again. At that point we got really frustrated and wanted to find another place. Their customer service is really poor. Their cooks/chef don't know how to cook meat properly. The fact that they don't have any competitors in that island just shows how poor their service and food are. I'm definitely going back to Camiguin but NOT staying at Paras Beach resort.

I highly recommend their ocean view rooms. More spacious, newer rooms, king sized beds are great, and their balcony has the view of the amazing white island. They provide bathrobes and slippers too. Free breakfast is plated but big servings. We tried their clubhouse sandwich, french fries and salad for dinner but we're not satisfied. I suggest for a few walk to Luna ristorante for dinner. No wifi in rooms, dining area and pool area, only in reception area. Staff are helpful, approachable and friendly. It has a vacation feel resort because of the ocean infront of the hotel, but the small beachfront is not conducive for swimming. No worry because the white island is just about 15mins boat ride from Paras.

Part of the travel package that we got for a group of 17 pax was a 2-ngiht stay in Paras Beach Resort. Accommodating staff welcomed us with a their cheerful smiles, drinks & customized beach necklace that delighted us from quite a long quest (air, land, water and another land travel) from MNL-CDO. Our group is large so we were separated into 4 different rooms but unfortunately the room assigned for my group has malfunctioning aircon. We requested to be transferred and their staff is commendably fast in taking actions. The whole resort is clean, soothing and tranquil. I really had a good night sleep.  It is also near to the well-known White Island of Camiguin which gives us less hassle on our itinerary. The food they serve in their restaurant called “Hibok-hibok” is average, however their service is very slow (1hr before a complete dinner served) so be sure to place your order in advance so you can avoid starving. :P

If given the chance to be back, I will surely “Camiguin” (come again) in this resort. ;)

Room Tip: For comfort, avoid rooms on higher floors (no elavator available)

We stayed here last Feb 6-7 '14, overnight stay in a family loft. We're a group of 5 so family loft is just exactly what we need. It has two queen size bed and 1 sofa bed for PhP 3500/night. We got it for only PhP3150 since they have a promo when we reserved. The promo is 10% discount for family loft when booked during Nov-Dec, 2013 period and travel is Jan-Mar, 2014. I hope they always have promotions like this. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable.

One thing I would like to review or comment about is their service in the restaurant. We had our dinner and breakfast in their Hibok-hibok restaurant. It took several minutes for them to serve our dinner. At first I thought it was fine since it was dinner and it will take a while to prepare the meal. But when we had our breakfast the next day, it took ONE HOUR to serve our food. Really?! When we asked the server why it took one hour, he reasoned that there were a huge group of people who had their breakfast reserved, days ahead. So? Is that a valid argument? Yes, they need to serve them first since they have a reservation, but they should have at least anticipated the situation. They should have prepared in advance or add more chefs since they also have other guests in the resort. I was truly disappointed with that kind of service and with their staff. Instead of apologizing for what happened, the staff reasoned out. Is this the correct way to treat guests? They should have also informed us that it will take long to serve the food, at least we could have prepared our things first then return back to the restaurant. Then that ONE HOUR WAITING won't be a waste of time. Because of that breakfast incident, we started our Camiguin tour late, which cause us to hurry our bathe in Ardent hot spring so that we won't be late with our check out. 12nn is the check out time. We still checked out by 12.40pm, besides it all began with their late service.

To the management, please train your personnel to be organized. To the staffs, show respect to guests and their time.

Paras Beach Resort is quite far from the Benoni Port in Camiguin island however, you won't regret the view and ambiance it can offer. Paras Resort is just a 10-minute boat ride to the famous Camiguin White Island sand bar so traveling to the white island either early morning, around 4:30 AM, to late afternoon, 6PM, is not a hassle. Hotel rooms are spacious and well-ventilated and well-airconditioned. Staff are very accommodating and there are also free sports amenities like billiards and table tennis.

Two thumbs up for a wonderful stay! Visit www.travelandcount.com for more details!

Room Tip: Loft type rooms or their family rooms are worth the price.
