The resort provides an option depending on the budget that you have. One thing that will really make you go back to this place is eating at Pier Tres. It's a must try destination if you want to have a great dinner.

Room Tip: Don't go for Studio rooms...Go for bigger rooms because it's value for your money.

Stayed here for one night on a work trip. Definately fell in the 'crumbling concrete resort' category but had amazing views over the water. I stayed in a villa like unit thing which was huge for one person (could have fit a family, thnk it was the disabled-friendly one), clean enough. No fan so had to have the aircon on all night which was a bit wasteful, especially given the size of my room. Wifi only in lobby, worked fine on my phone but my computer wouldn't connect for some reason.

Main issue here was the poor service - had to ask for everything twice including for towels which were not in the room upon check in.

Stayed here four or five times in the last 2-3 years! Most of the staff from the front desk to the laundry room all seem pleasant, friendly and even helpful! Previously we just stayed in various standard rooms for a few days up to a week. This trip we are staying in a cute little studio apartelle with bunkbeds big enough to hold two adults on the lower level if you are friendly enough! Room is cheap enough - about 16,000php ($350USD) per month plus we pay our own electric and water bill. Cable tv, assortment of electric appliances to cook with and a nice sized refrigerator and good aircon! Shower is great even if only cold water! Still same maid service just like regular hotel.

Easy walk to Pier Tres (previously San Pedro Bay) or Barko for breakfast lunch or dinner and lots of new clubs at the entrance for food and drnk. The Veranda Cafe still sucks - BUT we stumbled on one waiter Jom and one waitress Jen who actually provided good service! They must have worked at Jollibee before to learn how to treat customers because they certainly get no training here! Too bad. If it weren't for their room service deliveries and sweet Linda singing six nights a week this place would close and no one would notice or care!

The rooms are slowly being upgraded and the grounds improved With the additional options for food and drink LPR is certainly worth investigating! If only they would put in one more access point to extend their wifi beyond the lobby I would give an even more positive review

This hotel is the best in Tacloban. They have a great place to have sightseeing . Rooms are big and they also have cottages. When we went there, government conferences are being held in and out from DPWH, DepEd and others. There is no priority for walk in guest and you need to reserve early. Private guest are not given priority. There are offered activities such as zipline, disco, resto, bay resto, but no one is operating. Even the tours, you need to negotiate and the price are so so so high. We ask how we can go to another island and they are charging a special high rate. What we did was to ask other people in downtown and we found the van who can go to marabut. We were able to reach marabut and paid only 50 per head. Then took a bike trike to go to the marine park., To my dismay-no one is there. Even the staff are sleeping. Facilities are so bad. So we went out and ask the bike to bring us to another beach. And then we were able to reach Kaluwayan. We enjoyed the beach, sun, and pool. Then went back to tacloban.

The problems are too numerous to describe although the other reviewers have done a good job...bottom line is that the facilities are in dire need of repair and renovation. Moldy, termite damaged, worn out, unsanitary conditions are what you will find. If you've read this review and still stay there then you are a fool my friend. The problem is clearly the fault of the owners not the poor staff who have to work there. If this is the best the owners can do then they ought to get out of the hotel business entirely. Run...don't walk away from this place. I don't know about other hotels in Tacloban, but if this is the best accomodations Tacloban has to offer then skip this city entirely.

i like the place. there are bars in the entrance, actually they'r inside the resort. the place is welcoming..it was easy check in but when we reached our room, i was disappointed. it looked old and needs renovation. the refrigerator is not working and looked rusty inside. no safety deposit box inside the room and u have to go to the reception to use the safety box! the food was okey. but no wifi. maybe we'll go back again, after renovation though.
