Right on the main road in Montserrat there is a little cottage type building called javalava. We stopped there around lunch time had hamburger and fries. To early for a beer not! Some art on the walls super clean place ordered lunch sat down outside and before we barely started to drink our beer our food was at the table. I could not believe it.my wife and I travel thru the Caribbean often and were used to things being at a little slower pace not here. Food was excellent service was quick. Owner and staff were great! Highly recommend.

Jeff runs JavaFlava with his mum and they are a great team serving tasty food in a relaxed environment. Jeff is only young and being in our 20s we enjoyed chatting to him about island life for young Montserratians. There is parking and good wifi and the place is popular among locals, particularly for breakfast and lunch.

The breakfast is the perfect eye opener, along with a jug of the Caribbean Queen coffee. For lunch or dinner grab a bowl of the mouth watering goatwater.
Great menu selections.

We were hesitant about going to the restaurant as a few locals mentioned that the place recently changed ownership. We loved our food. The staff were friendly and attentive. Their espresso machine was down, but their regular coffee was good. The roti and the panini were both delicious!
