To actually witness a bomb disposal team go about their daily work of locating bombs and destroying them to make the local villages a safer place was such a unique eye opener. The team took us out to a bomb site, explained their tasks, the history of the area and the hardships brought on to the locals. They then blew up some unexploded mines they had found that day while we watched from a safe distance. If you want to witness first hand what local Vietnamese are going through in the DMZ Danger zones, then this cant be missed! The Visitor centre is also rich in history and local stories dating from the war to the present.
