Firstly, there's nothing wrong with this hotel. Although it's not as good as its counterpart in Campasak, the rooms are impeccably clean, modernly furnished and stylish. It was a little strange to have the toilet and showers in separate cubicles within your room, but can be seen to bring a certain charm. I doubt there's a better choice in Thakhek.
The staff are strange here. After asking where the complimentary tea and coffee was (listed in their welcome book and website), the reception staff responded "no tea and coffee". Once he called his boss (who said that we were due this), he then relented and agreed. An hour later, we repeated the same scene again. This seemed to keep happening.
His manager clearly had a clue, but the reception staff didn't. It's a nice hotel, but tiresome when you have to keep fighting the staff.
