This great litlte hotel in the centre of town is stylish and comfortable. Standard rooms are small but come with all the mod cons including in-room safe, clean white fluffy towels, sheets and doonas, aircon glass sink and rain shower. Downstairs there is an excellent restaurant, and internet computers for guest use. The colour scheme is warm oranges with solid wood furniture.
In a fairly drab town this hotel appears like an apparition. I overheard two new arrivals exclaim that this hotel "looks warm and inviting" and that just about sums it up.
The downside (there is always a downside) is the staff at times are useless. It can be hard to find someone who speaks even basic English (which is surprising considering most of their guests are western tourists - imagine if you had a job where you could barely communicate with your customers). Also, I had to ask four times for my final bill, which they seemed incapable of producing for some reason. And the twin room's bathroom would be awkard for two people as the toilet and shower are both very small, so it may be better to get a bigger room if you aren't "bedmates".
But even with a couple of niggles it's still by far the best place to stay in town - be sure to book ahead.
