We found this gem of a hotel by accident last year while on a motorcycle trip. We went back this year and got the same warm welcome and excellent service. The hotel is very clean and very well equipped. They cater for bikers with secure underground paking, and the location is great for bikers with easy access to a range of mountain passes and great roads. We will return here again.

7 in the morning they started I almost thought the church was in the bathroom it felt that close, but if your up and about early its your alarm call, i,l get the negative bits out the way, stayed 4 nights and took 2 rooms one a single one a double, the food was a struggle for me, and thats not the hotel s fault its just i,m a bit fussy, cold meat and cheese plus cereals the breakfast was ok, but i really struggled with the evening meals, but again i must stress i,m a fussy eater,
the service was mixed at mealtimes, on the last morning it was impossible to get a hot cup of coffee or tea the 2 waitresses kept bringing tepid pots, how hard can it be? so a couple of niggles but not any real issues, hotel is larger than i thought and catered for bus trips, not so many other clients, the hotel was incredibly reasonable priced , one of the best value hotels you could get, i rang the hotel up and booked by telephone,
rooms were nice enough ,and clean, small shower , even smaller television which had a fair bit of interference, so had to watch the England game a foot away from the tv, torture from the overpaid superstars who are probably half as good as they think they are, now the really good, Sandra the receptionist , if she ran her own hotel it would top the ratings , she really is so good, she did the weather forecast and also directions to whichever trip i was heading towards, nothing appeared to be to much trouble, the leisure part of the hotel i thought was very good as well, good jaccuzzi and sauna etc, so to sum up, the most important part did i sleep well? yes, was it reasonably prices oh yes! was the food good, okish, and great frontline staff, i would stay here again its a bit off the beaten path , Flirsch was very quiet but as i was heading off to Murren in switzerland for one of the drives or Cortina in Italy or To Germany it was in a good position.

We booked Hotel Basur as a group (6 people). The hotel is located in Flirsch, 20 minutes by skibus from Bus Terminal West, St. Anton. 3 ski buses are available (11,13, Postbus), roughly leaving every 15 minutes. In the evenings, the last ski bus leaves Terminal West at approx. 18:30, so you can enjoy the après ski. If you happen to miss the last bus, during the daytime taxis cost EUR 31 from St. Anton to Flirsch and EUR 46 in the evenings (the minivans seat up to 8 people so the per head cost is lower).
Designed in Tyrolean style, with wooden interiors, it offers various large, yet cozy breakfast/dining areas. Free WiFi is available ONLY in the lobby, although during our stay, connection was unfortunately intermittent (the hotel informed us they would look into improving the quality to allow multiple Internet WiFi connections simultaneously).
Breakfast buffet was the same each day, with an assortment of cheeses, fruit jellies, tees, scrambled eggs, bacon, different types of breads, cereals.
I didn’t use the spa area, but according to friends who visited it, the premises were acceptable.
One friend woke up to a dripping ceiling (not sure whether this was due to flooding upstairs or a burst water pipe). The issue was fixed.
The individual room I stayed at was basic but comfortable, equipped with a TV, own bathroom, incl. hair dryer.

Room Tip: Rooms are all well communicated through elevators. Sundays and Saturdays you might be woken up by th...

This is a great three star hotel. It is about 30 mins by bus outside St. Anton and ideal for a skiing holiday which is why we stayed there. Ski bus is free so it makes it a much better option than staying in St. Anton which is very expensive. The hotel is very comfortable with a very high standard of cleanliness. The food is hit and miss, more two star than three star but is really extremely good value and you will not be hungry. The decor is a bit dated but that only adds to the charm of the hotel. The location is excellent and is near the bus stop. The town itself is quiet and charming, a nice change from the hustle and bustle of St. Anton. I would highly recommend this hotel for the great value it offers.
p.s. there is also a nice jacuzzi downstairs if you dont mind adopting the local culture i.e. no swimsuits!

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony, the view is quite nice.

Stayed here for the first time recently for a week long snowboard trip and quite enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly, and upon check-in we were given two keys to choose which room we wanted. We went with the larger room on the 4th floor (of course!). The room was very large and quite comfortable. The only downside was that it was directly opposite the church so we were awoken by the loud church bells at 7am every morning. Although after a few days of being on the slope we were able to fall back asleep immediately after. Either way, I would recommend earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

The food was decent and we had a different option each night. My husband and I are vegetarians, so it was nice that they included a veggie option every evening. A few main courses were a bit hit or miss, but we were always happy with the salad bar and always left feeling satisfied.

The village is very quiet, so if you're hoping to partake in the St. Anton nightlife you may want to stay closer to the town. There is a little bar down the street called Enrique's that I would recommend visiting, if only to chat to the very friendly owner from Mexico City. Other than that, you'll need to hop on the bus to find any additional restaurants and bars.

The only real downside to the hotel is that there is smoking allowed downstairs in the common area and bar. In the evening it can be a bit overwhelming, and we could even smell in up in our room when we went to sleep.

Overall we had a really pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this place to friends, especially for the price.

We're spending our skiing vacation in Hotel Basur since nearly 10 years. Very nice and friendly staff as always, meals this year not as top as during the last years. Good connection to the Arlberg skiing area.
Renovation is more than necessary - especially for the rooms in the old part of the house!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the newer part of the house & no facing the church.
