“Good hotel for skitrip”
Reviewed February 25, 2014 via mobile

We stayed for a long weekend. Modern hotel with a pool, solarium, small gym and sauna.

There is a parking garage which costs 15 euro a day, but you can also park in front of the hotel for free.

The location is perfect. You can ski from the ski-slope direct to the hotel. Direct across the hotel is the practice ski-slope. Ski/ snowboard rental is a 3 minute walk away, so are the 2 main ski- gondolas to take you up the mountain.
There is a skiroom with lockers in the basement.

The standard room is pretty big with a safe, flat screen tv, mini bar, separate toilet and bathroom and enough closet space to hang your clothes.
The bathroom has a window so you can look into the bathroom from the bed, but you can close it with a panel if you're looking for some privacy.
It also has a couch which can be pulled out and serve as a bed I think. There is a small balcony with one seat only unfortunately.

Our reservation included half board( breakfast + dinner).
The hotel has three restaurants connected to each other by a central room where the breakfast buffet/ salad bar is bring served. The tables in the restaurant are placed very close to another so a private conversation isn't very private.
Breakfast was outstanding. Alot of choice. Different kind of bread, sausages, make to order eggs, cereals, fruit etc..
Dinner consists of 4 - 5 courses, with 3 choices for the main course. While breakfast was outstanding, dinner was ok. Not really to write home about. The portion of the main course was a bit on the small side.
Drinks were a bit on the pricey side, considering what you pay at the restaurants on the ski slope, in my opinion. Service was friendly but not very fast.

The pool is a bit on the small side when the hotel is fully booked and there are not alot of beds at the pool, but a dip in the pool after a hard day's at the slope is very refreshing.
There is a small gym and the sauna is open from 16.30.

What surprised us, was how quite the hotel is while we were in our room. The hotel was supposed to be fully booked, but we couldn't hear much from others in our room.

All in all a great stay and we will be back if the occasion arrises.

We stayed over new year's and had a fantastic time! The location is ideal as directly at ski tracks and the ski school is just opposite the hotel. The hotel room was very nice and we liked the attention to detail. Food was very nice as well with mix of buffet and a la carte, special new year's dinner and live band. Haven't tried the spa, but heard nice things about this as well. The kids club was nice with great afternoon activities (after all the skiing etc). Staff was friendly and well-organised... happy family, great hotel :-))

We stayed for a week ,mainly due to hotel location - on the slope ! Hard to beat ! It is a great thing to get out of the lobby and get to the ski lift in 20 seconds !

Hotel is designed around the family vacation concept. Large rooms, pool area , half board meal plans, kids playing room , ski lockers in the basement....everything planned to ease up the hassle of equipping yourself every morning for skiing and go on the slopes.

Food quite ok, but they can definitely improve on service ! Also, kids menus are limited , so if you want more choices , just step out and walk 50 meters to the S4 Almhutte - great Tyrolean and international meals .

Everything was very good. The staff, the room, housekeeping, food were all very good and the location was excellent. My stay was with a group for the Freeride World Tour but I assume this place would be great for any trip.

We'd been told by our travel agent (Snowscape - excellent, by the way!) that the Alpine was a really nice hotel. What an understatement! It sits slap bang at the foot of the slopes, ski to door and ski down 100m to the two main gondolas. Amazing location. It's a very modern hotel, spotlessly clean and with incredibly friendly staff (reception staff were in traditional Austrian dress, a nice touch). Large lounge bar with really comfy chairs and views over the piste... and very reasonable prices, similar to a UK pub. Three good sized restaurant sections - choose the furthest from reception or the one to the right to get lovely views over the piste - with a central buffet... 6 course dinner every night with excellent food, and masses to choose from at breakfast. Good sized bedrooms with (in our case) a balcony overlooking the village and bottom of the slopes.. very clean and refreshed every day with new towels. There's a good sized pool and terrific spa with large sauna, steam room etc... one word of warning, the Austrians take their saunas naked! When in Rome... The village itself is gorgeous... typically Austrian; there are some good bars and restaurants by the hotel, with the main village centre about a 15 min walk away (or free by bus). And the slopes are wonderful... all in all, a fantastic hotel which we are happy to recommend for anybody, families included (our 10 and 5 year olds would love it).

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the slopes or village

We love love love this place!!! We went as two couple and one baby. Where to begin?
Location: Directly on the slope with ski to door access. Slightly up form the gondola so you dont have crowds milling outside the hotel doors.
Rooms: Relatively large with lots of storage space and a nice lounge for relaxing. Bathrooms a good size with good shower heads.
Spa/Pool: Pool and sauna was lovely. Pool a decent size and there was about 6 sauna options. We had a massage from the hotel which was expensive and not very effective. Good for if you like a gentle rub down. The oil was lovely and warm the whole time.
Bar: Great staff, great drink menu, great prices. Live band also made our night.
Food/restaurant: Half board was included so breakfast and dinner. Nothing to fault in the slightest!!! Wait staff was so attentive and friendly and on the ball. The food options were delicious! The nightly salad bar was mouth watering. One evening was a dessert night with more desserts then you can count. Breakfast was also brilliant with options like meats, cheeses, cereals, yoghurts, fruits, cakes. The kids buffet options also had a few different options each night.
Kids room: a play room that had everything a kid could want. Parents thank your lucky stars as there is kids fun activities all day long - dump your kid and get skiing!
Also the S4 childcare is literally next door for those with kids under 3 who need child care in the day time.
Very good price considering how nice it was. We didnt want to leave!!! Will most definitely return.

Room Tip: All rooms are great! But the first floor has the sauna and pool so that's convenient.
