The visit of Prambanam was a real pleasure. We have done it with a guide and learnt so much more. We spent arround 1.5 hours going arround the different parts of it. Entrance fee is very high (170.000 IDR),

This is beautiful temple. Its terracotta architecture is telling so many stories of ancient Indian time. Carefully check those pictures. It is worth observing. Don't forget to take an umbrella or rent one if you go on a sunny day. There is a package to see another temple Ratu Boko with this. They provide the arrangement of car to go there. If you have time, take that chance. At evening, Prambanan has traditional dance show to depict ancient Mahabharat story. If you are interested in Indian culture, enjoy that show.

If you go to Yogya and wants to see the Prambanan, try to see the Ramayana open air performance at the Prambanan. It's a wonderful experience to see this buildings illuminated at night!

This is just outside the city, about 8 miles away. Frequent earth tremors and quakes have made this ancient temple complex unstable in certain temples but on the whole still standing tall. Temples have no worship but kept well as much as possible against the powers of nature. A must visit go there in the afternoon less hot at this time and evening sun gives a different hue to the stones. There are 3 main temples here the biggest for Siva, the other 2 for Vishnu and Bhrama.
