We used to stay at Seven on Shelter years ago when it was Stearns Point, before the current owner bought it and remodeled it into its current form. We since bought a property nearby, and walk by the place almost every day. Beth was kind enough to invite us in, and give us a tour of the premises, and it is wonderful! All the rooms are light and airy, with much attention and thoughtful detail. Colorful, original art abounds. I can heartily recommend the location, many great restaurants on Shelter Island, and Seven is easy walking distance to Crescent Beach. I just wanted to point out that any old reviews are of the prior location, Stearns Point Inn, and really shouldn't be included as reviews of Seven. Seven looks great!

Many thanks for this preliminary review that really set the pace for us as we introduced Seven guests planning a trip to Shelter Island. We're off and running now, with multiple great reviews, and very much appreciate your time and effort to acknowledge our hard work early on. We look forward to treating you to our French inspired breakfast one morning on the front porch - please do stop by soon! Again, thank you!

Indeed, the place to be this summer, Style Comfort and everything suave.
Beth is a wonderful host proud of her new home to share with you.
Salt`s was great for food and atmosphere..., in fact the entire island is to be discovered.
Enjoy a fabulous walk with ocean view.

I could go on and on, enjoy, alone or with chosen ones

Tout ce qu`un Coeur desire et plus.

Merci beaucoup for this delightful review of our property! We are very pleased that you enjoyed your time on this special island and that your stay at Seven provided you with easy access to the Crescent Beach and its beautiful sunsets. And we're VERY pleased you found your room, its linens and toiletries, as well as the inn it self, comfortable with elements of style. We do look forward to your next visit to Seven on Shelter Island.

We just stayed at Seven on Shelter and loved everything about it - from the spacious, sunny rooms with huge sumptuous beds and sleek modern en suite bathrooms, to the delicious locally-sourced breakfast and the charming porch where we relaxed in the sunshine with glasses of wine from a local vineyard on the North Fork. Seven is perfectly located just a few minutes walk from the gorgeous Crescent Beach which has the fabulous Sunset Beach Restaurant as a stylish and great lunch spot. Beth was wonderful and could not have been more hospitable. She gave us some fantastic recommendations for dinner (the Vine Street Cafe is well worth a visit!) and Seven is conveniently between the North Fork and Sag Harbor (both short ferry rides away). Seven is clean, stylish, comfortable and set in a peaceful spot steps from a beautiful beach... we can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: We had a beautiful sunny room with a day bed in it!

Thank you for this FIVE STAR rating and your lovely article. Your emphasis that "Seven is conveniently between the North Fork and Sag Harbor (both short ferry rides away)." is so important for visiting guests to know. And thank you for your comments: "Seven is clean, stylish, comfortable and set in a peaceful spot steps from a beautiful beach..." We very much look forward to your next visit - Cheers!

Our family spent the weekend at Seven and loved our experience!! Beth was so helpful to us - directing us to wonderful restaurants, arranging a great babysitter for us, procuring the most marvelous totally French continental breakfast for us from Redding Market, introducing us to other delightful guests at the B&B. It's a wonderful old house, fully remodeled and full of charm. Comfy bedrooms with wonderful linens. Lovely breakfast room. There's a great restaurant right next door called La Maison Blanche and just two blocks down is Sunset Beach and the most marvelous resort reportedly owned by the same person as San Tropez's Cinquante Cinq. The beach is lovely there. Our friends in Sag Harbor took the ferry over and joined us for another memorable dinner at Vine Street. Everything was close by and Shelter Island is divine.

Thank you, thank you for this delightful review! We're thrilled that you and your family enjoyed the "Comfy bedrooms with wonderful linens... and the " Lovely breakfast room." :) And your review very much helped us to attract business for our inaugural summer season - which, thanks again to you, has been very successful thus far. We are so very much appreciative of your time and attention to the details, and very happy that you enjoyed your stay. We do look forward to your next visit to Shelter Island!
