The overall experience was good. The rooms are large - in fact there is a lot of space within the rooms; the hotel could put additional furniture like a sofa in the rooms; otherwise it looks very bare. The facilities in the room is good, though the lack of hot water in the evening was sorely missed. Breakfast is ok, food quality too. The price of the room seemed to be on the upward side. There is a pool, though I did not use it, plus a small childrens play area.

Thank you for your review. First, let me apologize for your lack of hot water. We usually turn off the water heaters in empty rooms. I assume your was not reconnected. But, that is no excuse! And I could not agree with you more that we need more furniture. We are getting locally made sofa's for the rooms and hope this adds an even better element of comfort to the rooms. We have them in five rooms with rave reviews so far.

We've stayed at the Nashera twice. The rooms were very large and clean, with a spacious bed and a nice-sized bathroom. After days out with a safari, It was a pleasure to have hot water and electricity available all day and night! There is a large restaurant and bar area--breakfast was included in our room rate, with yogurt, hot and cold foods, thick-sliced bread, and eggs cooked to order. The grounds are quite pretty, with a lovely view of the mountains on one side, and a well-kept pool and courtyard area on another side. (Note: ask for a room that doesn't overlook the courtyard...on our first visit, our outside room was lovely and quiet; but later when we had a room facing the courtyard, there was a party going on and the sound system reverberated very loudly, to the point that we had to raise our voices to be heard over it inside the room. We asked to change rooms but were told it wasn't possible. I think they may use that same system for music all night for the bar--although it was not as loud as the party music, the next night we could hear the bass thumping all night. Turning on the air conditioning helped camouflage the sound.) The staff is generally helpful and polite.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. The music from the evening events can get loud on the weekend. The mountain view rooms are always quiet and next time, let us know in advance. We would be more than happy to accommodate you. We hope you will visit again.

We stopped here (twice) for lunch while on a family outing to Mikumi National Park and our way back to Dar es Salaam. Lunch buffet was very good, nice, peaceful setting with a few of the Uluguru Mountains. Staff is friendly and attentive. No experience with the hotel accommodation as such, but would not hesitate to come back and try the rooms.
If you are looking for a descent place to eat along the A7 motorway ... this is a very good option.

Thanks so much for the review. Glad you enjoyed the food. We enjoy being fairly close to Mikumi. If you are around, try us for a weekend. We have some pretty good packages.

What a lovely place in the middle of Morogoro, and after driving through the town, I couldn't imagine another hotel nicer than this one in the area.

The staff really bent over backwards to accommodate my asks-- there for an IT conference, internet really was a must and there was a few days where it, and the 3G back-up, just went completely off nearly. It most certainly was at the whim of the Internet Service Provider, and the managers did all they could to stay on top of the problem. It still is just too slow for any IT-related work, so we may need to suggest our next training be in Dar es Salaam where a more consistent signal is, at no fault to the hotel other than to have a back-up if one ISP goes down. Showers only had about one minute of hot water, but it never got fixed while I was there despite asking about it. Some colleagues had hot water, so you may want to switch rooms after testing yours right away.

Josem helped coordinate a side trip, but ATMs were nearly all broken so getting cash to pay for tours was a bit difficult but the front desk was very helpful. The cleaning staff was amazing, and the restaurant was good enough food, but after 2 weeks was definitely ready for something new. Such kind and warm staff, a great stay.

We appreciate your tips. We apologize the hot water issue was not resolved. This should have been fixed. We are working regularly to improve the internet, but yes, we are at the whim of the ISP and that does not always work as well as we hope. But, I am glad our team did their best to accommodate you and I hope the mountain backdrop helped ease your worries.

Spent two nights here in September 2013. While it is not a luxury hotel, it is quite nice -- especially for a town several hours drive from Dar es Salaam. The rooms are huge. Everything was very clean. The restaurant is not exceptional but is certainly quite adequate. Wireless internet didn't work in my room but worked fine in the bar and other common areas. Would definitely stay here again.

We too were part of the wedding party who flew in specially from the UK. The spacious room with a wonderful view of the mountains was delightful. The service in the restaurant was slightly slow but the food portions were generous. The wedding reception, held during Eid, took place in the lovely grounds and then the magnificent Selous Hall. A hotel worth visiting.

We were some of the wedding guests mentioned in the previous reviewers post and I must say we cannot agree more. Food was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful and our room was lovely - spacious, well decorated and spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend if staying in Morogoro.
