Stayed here with some friends a year ago , or more, but still have very nice memories of such a wonderful peaceful place, with beautiful details . Most enjoyable way to spend a weekend !! Well equipped to do some selfcatering, but will try the meals there next time!

With 'quality in everything' I mean: the food, the way the food was presented, the place to eat, the people who brought the food, the china and glasses, the decoration of the place to stay, the spacious bathroom, the history of the place, the received hospitality, the gift you can buy (lemon grass tea e.g.), the nice surroundings and this all with respect for the environment and with respect to the local culture.

Mbuyini Farm is about 10km before Morogoro coming from Dar. An organic farm run by a German couple, they have recently built a couple of holiday chalets on their ground. It’s about 5min from the main road in between the fields, so it’s very quiet setting surrounded by Baobab trees and with the Morogoro mountains in the distance. It’s the perfect place to chill out for a long weekend and enjoy the beautiful countryside with walks etc in the pleasant Morogoro climate.
I liked it so much, that I returned a second time during my nine months in Tanzania.
The cottages are really beautifully decorated and nicely spaced from each other, so that you have privacy should someone else stay in the other cottage. One of them has got a kitchen attached to it, that is fully equipped for your cooking needs.
There is a nice swimming pool set in-between the farm house and the cottages.
The owners are really lovely and helped us out greatly when our car broke down on the main road.
If you are looking for a nice weekend break away from Dar or a stopover on your way upcountry, this is a great place to stay.
