This is not your "New Nordic" restaurant; the food is of the stick-to-your ribs-variety. Heavy, rich and very tasty dinners. It's a bit out of the center of town, but worth the trip. Check for reservations, especially around the holiday season, as they do traditional Christmas food (such as roast duck), and they do it very well, served up family style.

This is probably one of the best smørrebrød restaurants in all of Denmark. The food is freshly made to order, with a huge variety of different traditional Danish open faced sandwiches, including fish fillet with shrimp and remoulade, roasted pork loin with crackling and sweet and sour red cabbage, liver pate with bacon, and roast beef with potato salad. The portions are huge, and the prices very reasonable (around 60-80 DKK for one piece of smørrebrød) - and usually one is more than enough! If you are a group you should try a few different types and share - the roasted pork with crackling is big enough for 2-3 people to share. The food is served so that you make your own smørrebrød, piling on the ingredients onto a piece of ryebread, which makes the experience all the more authentic and fun! A must try!
