The photos here do justice to the decor and style of the flat - they are realistic.
What they do not do justice to is how light and airy the flat is, huge windows and buckets of space. Two of the bedrooms are huge and the third is a fine double.
Flat is very well equipped with everything you can think of (and a few things I meant to bring with me but forgot....like a hand blender!).
When we arrived it was immaculate, spotlessly clean.
Easy parking, so quiet and peaceful.
Great location for the river and cycling/walking. And lots of good days out nearby.
We went to a wedding in Cressbrook Hall on the Sunday - an easy walk back at the end of the evening.
Cressbrook Mill is close by Monsal Head and a short walk from the Monsal Trail. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for six. The site is ideal for access to Bakewell, Buxton and many beautiful locations. Walking and cycling opportunities abound, there are plenty of places to visit and we were never short of something to do. We would go back again at the drop of a hat!
We had a lovely week at Cressbrook Mill with friends. The apartment is very spacious and beautifully presented with everything you're likely to need. It is very peaceful and has great views of the surrounding countryside. The children really enjoyed the games room which was well equipped with free air football, table tennis, snooker, pool and a mini gym at the back. The grounds are also very pleasant with interesting features from the old Mill. It is also a great place for star gazing at night.
There is ample parking both in the underground car park and around the outside of the mill (2 reserved spaces as well as extra unreserved areas). We took our bikes which we were able to lock up in the underground car park.
The location is brilliant. You can do interesting walks directly from the Mill. A simple 3 mile walk took us out the back of the mill, over the river, up the hill, onto the Monsall Trail, through a long tunnel, back down to the river, through neighboring Linton Mill, along the river, past some rock climbers and back to Cressbrook. Plenty to keep the children interested and you can even buy some fresh eggs as you re-enter the Mill grounds.
There are plenty of interesting places within 1/2 an hours drive. We visited Chatsworth, Castleton and Bakewell. Be sure to buy a traditional Bakewell pudding, they are gorgeous.
