A fantastic cottage. Super location. Wonderful host. Incredibly well equipped.
The fresh free range eggs and home made cake on arrival were a typically thoughtful touch.

“Vacation rental was a dream gift for my Grandparents”

My Grandparents absolutely loved their long weekend in the cottage and could not have been more pleased with the location. They said the owner Lindsey was really friendly and had made a lovely cake for them on arrival. The village was small and all the villagers and customers of the local pub made them feel very welcome.

“Beautiful cottage, fantastic break”

Keepers cottage is one of the best little cottages we have ever stayed at. Lyndsey had thought of absolutely everything to make our stay comfortable. The cake, eggs and milk as well as oils, herbs, tea, coffee and sugar were very much appreciated. We loved the chickens and the two ponies, they were very entertaining. Sheldon is a beautiful village with the added bonus of a friendly pub that serves good meals. There are plenty of places to walk and loads of places to visit in the area. Lyndsey was the perfect host and we loved every minute of our stay. We look forward to returning soon.

“Lovely little cottage”
Reviewed May 8, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We stayed for four nights in Keepers cottage in April and had a wonderful stay.
When we arrived there was a delicious lemon drizzle cake waiting for us, the cottage was perfectly equipped and Lydney has thought of all the extra little touches that makes your stay perfect with fresh eggs and milk to having herbs, cooking oils and other household extras that you don't have to bring with you or buy once there.
The woodburner made it a cosy stay and we enjoyed the selection of dvds to watch after a busy day walking!!
Sheldon is a lovely little village with cosy pub, there are lots of lovely walks and we enjoyed a walk into bakewell back along the river to Ashford in the water and the rather large climb back into Sheldon!!
Chatsworth always a favourite and we loved blue john caverns and a trip to Buxton,
Thank you Lydney for a lovely stay and we will definitely be back to see you, Tilly floss and bobbin the Shetland ponies, and the chickens again. Some friends of ours have booked to stay in July after seeing our pictures of the cottage and surrounding area.
