Just got back from staying at this delightful B&B for 6 nights. Received a warm welcome and the hospitality continued for the remainder of our stay. Excellent location, plenty of places to visit and all within 45 minutes. If you have not visited this area before check out Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Matlock and Matlock Bath, Dovedale and also many walks if thats what you prefer. Monsal Trail is a good one, branch off at Millers Dale for some refreshment at the Anglers Rest.
Our room was excellent and a relaxing place to return to after full days out. Breakfast's were superb with plenty of options.
Thank you to Ann and Stuart for a great B&B.

Me and a friend decided to go to Derbyshire over the Bank Holiday Weekend. I rang round some places and they were all full. I rang the "Chy-an-Dour and they had availabilty for the weekend. So glad I booked. It is a quaint Bed and Breakfast situated in Ashford in the Water near Bakewell in Derbyshire. We had a warm welcome from Ann, one of the owners and was very impressed with our room. It was a twin room with ample space. Spotlessly clean. The cooked breakfast was excellent with gorgeous views of Derbyshire to enjoy whilst eating. Excellent customer service throughout. You couldn't ask for anyone to be more helpful. Will definitely be staying again.

My wife and I stayed for two nights from the 18th to the 20th August. We booked the accommodation through Bakewell Tourist information Centre. As expected, they found us an excellant place to stay. The accommodation and food were excellant and a credit to the owners. We shall certainly stay there again.

Just returned home after our 6th visit to Chy-an-Dour. Truly delightful to visit a charming B & B in a beautiful Derbyshire village setting. Always a warm welcome from Ann and Stuart, a comfortable room and one of the finest breakfast you will ever get. We will be back.

Room Tip: The twin bedroom is most comfortable, the situation is quiet thus ensuring a good nights sleep.

The 12th was our 38th Wedding Anniversary and at short notice I looked for a break in Bakewell, to be honest hoping to find an hotel. However, as luck would have it, none I looked at had any room, so more in hope than certainty I booked in with Ann and Stuart Rowland at their B & B. The place was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The welcome was warm and the service without fault. The only downside was the size of the en-suite, with its washbasin in the bedroom, but adjacent. We were very happy here and glad that we had fallen on our feet, as obviously were the other couples who were here at the same time, all repeat customers. Highly recommended.

We received a very warm & friendly welcome, which continued for our 5 nights stay. Our room was very comfortable and a breakfast to set us up for the day. We will repeat this restful holiday again in the not too distant future. Allan.D.

I recently stayed overnight in Chy-an-Dour with my husband and four year old son. I can honestly say that I wish we had been able to stay for longer. The B&B was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and we received such a warm welcome. Ann was full of useful advise and local knowledge and she even gave our little boy some bread to feed the ducks. We will definitely be returning and would thoroughly recommend Chy-an-Dour.
