Visited Bowling Green a few times over the past few years, during holidays and weekend breaks.
Some visits we have stayed in there lovely b&b rooms next the to the pub, because of its tranquil location.
Upon arrival, the owner Jez is usually there to welcome you and show you around and if not a member of staff will happily welcome you on his behalf. From our stays, my partner and I have found the rooms to be spacious, comfy and clean with lovely views which is why you stay in Bradwell. Our most recent visit 4-6th May was just as enjoyable and friendly as the all previous visits.
A wonderful full English breakfast is just what you need before you enjoy the nearby countryside. On the Sunday we enjoyed a lovely roast with all the trimmings, followed by roast sandwiches' with stuffing, chips and the most amazing gravy I've ever had on the Monday for lunch. Jez and his staff, along with the locals are very friendly, and that is why we keep going back...it has become a home from home. Overall you couldn't ask for better service and a better place to eat or stay whilst visiting Bradwell and the surround area of the Peak District. With the sun shining, a glass of chosen tiple, lovely food and the stunning views of the countryside, what more could you ask for. Thank you Jez, will be back soon.More
