We stayed here on our 'mini-moon' and had a fantastic time. Beautiful room with gorgeous view and lovely bathroom.
Fantastic breakfast in bed and incredible evening meals.
Great service from everyone.
I had two excellent massages and also enjoyed the outdoor hot tub.
Lovely walks from the door.
Can't recommend this highly enough.

I have just returned from an overnight stay with my husband at Losehill House hotel and Spa in the peak district and all I can say is wow what a fab hotel in such a great location.
The weekend break was an early birthday present for myself and it couldn't have been better.
The hotel is a little gem the staff are very friendly and the room with the king size bed and very
large bathroom was first class.
We were lucky with the weather and used the outside hot tub and sat around on the lawns in swimsuits and dressing gown till early evening which for me is a first in Derbyshire!
The evening dinner was exceptional and the staff made you feel special.
All in all it was a fabulous relaxing birthday treat and we can't wait to find an excuse to go back again.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back on the first floor overlooking the gardens and the countryside.

Losehill was recommended to us by the B&B we were staying at next door and I have to say from walking through the front door it was a dining experience. Even tho' we were not staying at the hotel, we were treated as guests, the food was out of this world with each course as good as the last. At a cost of £35.00 for three gourmet courses it was well worth the money. We hope next time to stay at Losehill to enjoy the rest of the facilities.

We have just returned from our sixth stay at Losehill House. Every time we visit the hotel we enjoy it more. The location is very peaceful, up a country lane just outside Hope. There are a number of beautiful walks that you can start from the hotel. The hotel itself is very comfortable with friendly and attentive staff. The room we stayed in this time was at the end of the hotel with a beautiful view down the Edale Valley. The bathroom was fantastic with a large bath and separate shower. The food is excellent with imaginative menus and top quality ingredients. We had a very relaxing stay and are already thinking about when we can go back!

Losehill House was built around a century ago and is located around a mile north of the village of Hope in a very rural location with views east across the valley towards Win Hill. The rooms are a decent size - a nice feature (of mine at least) was that the bathroom had large external windows, so you can look at the sheep as you towel yourself down after a shower. There is a flat screen tv with a limited range of channels (no Sky) and a temperamental digital radio (operating instructions would have been helpful). Other minor foibles were the odd bedside 'table' of metallic slatted design (so small objects fall through the gaps) and the tiny glasses supplied to accompany the bottled mineral water of a size suitable only for a sip of water to aid the swallowing of a pill.

Breakfast was fine. The food at dinner was good, but not good value for money (a table d'hote 3 courses for £35). I considered the meal pretentious, and for those who have spent the day hiking and prefer heartier, peasant fare, the pub or 'Curry Cabin' in the village may be more satisfactory alternatives. At both breakfast and dinner, guests are subjected to the torture of intrusive piped music (clearly mandated as essential at all the top hotel manager schools) despite the hotel's USP being its wonderful tranquility. I did not experience the spa.

I rate this hotel average because while overall it was perfectly satisfactory, it did not for me offer anything above what one should expect for this price.

Finally, if you are after sanwiches (etc) for a picnic, there is an excellent delicatessen on the main road in Hope.

Room Tip: As others have commented, rooms at the rear (east facing) have the best views.
