“A little gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2010

BIG healthy 'fry-up' set us up for a day's walking.

A visit to Cup 'n' Cake is well worth the trip. It is just off the main road through Chapel and so you are able to sit outside and not be bothered by traffic noise and fumes and parking isn't an issue.
I stopped off there for breakfast and had the full works (which for a Coeliac meant no sausage or toast, but I was given extra other bits instead by the very understanding and accommodating staff). It was fantastic: the best bacon EVER and beautifully cooked eggs, mushrooms and vine tomatoes. Apparently the sausages are particularly good too.
A lovely bonus at Cup 'n' Cake is the fact you feel that the staff genuinely care about the food they produce and they want you to be able to relax and enjoy yourself.
I want to go back to try their homemade chocolates!

“Fab breakfast and impressive cakes!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2010

I visited this new cafe with some friends for breakfast. The owner and chef, Lucy, was very welcoming and cooked a fab big English breakfast for us. it included a tea of coffee and was an excellent price. I bought one of the cakes on display and some chocolate to take home to my husband. They were decorated really well and very yummy. Next time I am up this way I will definitley pop in again.

After a long days worth of business was a pleasure to stop for a cup of super coffee and some fab carrot cake. Very much worth the while of stopping and popping in.
Staff very friendly and welcoming.
