Agioa Ioannis is a quiet beach resort, with a dozen or so large hotels but only a few restaurants - luckily it has Bellissimo (also confusingly known as Vasilikos - they share the same location and staff but have slightly different menus with Bellmissimo focussing on pizza and pasta and Vasilikos on slightly more expensive meat and fish meals)
Due to the high price of food at our hotel (De-Light) we had most lunches and quite a few dinners here. Pizzas are fantastic - generous toppings, tasty and varied ingredients. The Greek salad is incredible - lovely fresh salad, a large slab of feta and warm rolls - all this for Euro 6.50. There also do fantastic meatballs (Grandma's recipe supposedly) and good souvlaki.
The staff are totally charming and greet you like friends after a few visits.
