We stayed a week. The breakfast each morning is delicious. The hotel is a short walk to the little town. The walk is a little scary bc of the traffic which zooms past. But not bad. There is a beach at the end of the road where 7 euros rents an umbrella & 2 chairs. The pool is so serene, we spent a lot of time there. There is a neighboring pool if it is crowded but for us it never was. We often got the Greek Mojito in the afternoon which has fresh raspberries etc. Every single person who worked there was super nice and helpful. The wifi is iffy but that was ok with me. I was able to check in for five minutes 2 x a day. You could get in longer if you did fb but I didn't. The rooms were nice & clean. Quiet. We did not really eat here except breakfast. The little town had a restaurant called Gilliano's or something like that & we ate there several times. The gyro spot was good. The bakery has good ice cream. Charisma has very cute clothes! and the restaurant with the green table cloths by the beach was good. And another store near the opposite corner had pretty things. We took the bus which stops outside the hotel several times to the bigger Naxos Town. It is a little bit of a time commitment to take the $1.80 euros bus but the town is definitely worth visiting several times during your stay. Buy your tickets in the hotel.

Lagos Mare seems to live into last decade...Old fashioned rooms, not renovated, not even the bathrooms, with a very moderate breakfast which is served by the pool.Helpful and friendly staff, but the whole impression is dissappointing...

Lagos Mare is a diamond in the rough. Clean, spacious, very friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurant onsite, spa-like feel around the pool. Family friendly! Had some business to attend to and they were able to accommodate. Short walk to town with ample dining choices and best beach on the island.

Staying in Lagos Mare for a business reason. Lagos Mare was a random choice that proved to be the ideal one. The staff was always professional and polite, rooms what was i expected from the photos. All the tastes of the restaurant were amazing.

There's not a lot more I can add to the other reviews here, I can only further endorse how special the family & staff at the hotel are and how welcome and cared for they make you feel. It is a level of hospitality that other hotels can only aspire to and draws us back to Greece year after year.

The hotel is apparently 12 years old but you wouldn't think so to look at it - it's so well maintained you would think it had just opened.

It would be unfair to pick out anyone individually so I would just like to thank you all for looking after us for 2 weeks.
